Abstract:As medical education undergoes significant internationalization, it is important for the medical education community to understand how different countries structure and provide medical education. This article highlights the current landscape of medical education in China, particularly the changes that have taken place in recent years. It also examines policies and offers suggestions about future strategies for medical education in China. Although many of these changes reflect international trends, Chinese medical education has seen unique transformations that reflect its particular culture and history.

Abstract:Through the analysis of medical overseas students,this paper indicated that different school education before entering a university,different knowledge level and the comprehensive ability lead to the various countries and regions of the students moral basis,between knowledge and behavior ability gap.According to these problems,combining medical overseas students' practical teaching,this paper put forward medical ethics education ideas for medical overseas students: changing the view of teaching,optimizing of course setting,organizing of teaching material selection,teaching language,teaching methods,optimizing the combination of campus culture.Through the good medical ethics education for medical overseas students,make them become qualified medical talents.

Abstract:Medical humanity is the soul of health education. Beginning medical students are taught various aspects of basic medicine, such as biochemistry, anatomy, and immunology. However, cultivation of the humanistic aspects of medicine has received increasing attention in recent decades. We performed a comparison study based on a literature search and our experience with medical humanistic courses in Western and Chinese medical colleges. We found both similarities and disparities in humanities courses offered in Western medical colleges and Chinese medical colleges. The delivery of humanities courses, such as medical sociology, medical ethics, medical psychology, and medical history, is widespread and helps to prepare students for their transformation from medical students to skilful medical professionals. Both Western and Chinese medical colleges offer a variety of medical humanistic courses for undergraduate students. Although Chinese medical humanistic education has undergone major changes, it still requires improvement and educators can learn from Western practice. We hope that our analysis will contribute to education reforms in the medical field.

Abstract:Objective In order to summarize the common characters of medical education , this research Compared curricula and educational reformation of different counties .The common characters of international medical educa-tion are useful to China's current medical education reformation .Methods This research used method of compara-tive education study to compare the medical education of the U .S, the U.K and Japan.Results Although the medical education program length is different in the 3 countries, they all recognize medical education as professional education .So they all adopt muti-method to test candidates .The curriculum frameworks of medical education pro-gram of 3 countries are different , but the curriculum organization , teaching methodologies , assessment methods are similar.They all have complete quality control system .As the medical education reformation , about half of medical schools in the U .K and Japan have implemented graduate entered medical education program .Conclusions Al-though medical education program length is different in the U .S, the U.K and Japan, they do share some charac-ters.These common characters are useful to medical education reformation and quality control in China .

Abstract:Physicians’ humanistic skills play a critical role in improving doctor‐patient relationship and the quality of medical services .Assessment of physicians’ humanistic skills is one of the core components of medical licensing examinations in the United Kingdom and the United States .It mainly relates to three domains ,namely communication ,professionalism , and interpersonal relationship with patients .Evaluation methods used or proposed for this purpose include standardized patient ,video or web‐based assessment .Effective assessment of humanistic skills should be added to China ’s national medical licensing examination in order to facilitate selection of qualified physician ,improvement of medical service quality , and medical education reform .In pushing forward this work ,it was suggested to take the current status of medical education into account ,make use of international experiences ,and give priority to assessment of communication skills .

Abstract:The different cultural background of patients affects the cognition of patients to the disease and health seeking behavior, which results in the conflicts between doctors and patients and health inequality. America is a multi-ethnic immigration country. With the above background, cross-cultural medical education has been developing. A series of standards has been issued, which interacts actively with the teaching practice in the medical college. Besides the education mode of "conceptual approach" and "patient-centered approach" have been explored to train medical students with cultural competence. Also online course has been applied as a new way. China is also a multi-ethnic country. Based on the experiences of American cross-cultural medical education and the national conditions,in the course of medical teaching reform, the standards should be set and cross-cultural curriculum should be offered. What's more,cross-culture education method with Chinese characteristics should be explored to improve the cultural competence of medical students in China.

Abstract:According to "Global minimum essential requirements in medical undergaduate education" and "The national standards in medical undergraduate education in China",medical collage graduates a student implies that the individual has good professionalism including the cognitive knowledge and the clinical skills,and the non-cognitive qualities necessary to function as a competent physician.250 different year students and 115 teachers who were randomly selected from 3 medical collages in "985" universities and 2 independent medical schools in Shanghai were asked to complete a questionnaire survey on the 15core professional elements that are required for medical undergraduates.We have analyzed the overall status and several problems related on the medical professionalism education in China through teachers perspective to evaluate medical undergraduate professional abilities and the medical students cognition about the content of professional qualities.

Abstract:BACKGROUND:Ethics teaching is a relatively new area of medical education in China, with ethics curricula at different levels of development. This study examined ethics education at three medical schools in China to understand their curricular content, teaching and learning methods, forms of assessments, changes over time, and what changes are needed for further improvement.METHODS:We used student and faculty surveys to obtain information about the ethics courses' content, teaching methods, and revisions over time. The surveys also included five realistic cases and asked participants whether each would be appropriate to use for discussion in ethics courses. Students rated the cases on a scale and gave written comments. Finally, participants were asked to indicate how much they would agree with the statement that medical professionalism is about putting the interests of patients and society above one's own.RESULTS:There were both similarities and differences among these schools with regard to course topics, teaching and assessment methods, and course faculty compositions, suggesting their courses are at different levels of development. Areas of improvement for the schools' courses were identified based on this study's findings and available literature. A model of the evolution of medical ethics education in China was proposed to guide reform in medical ethics instruction in China. Analysis identified characteristics of appropriate cases and participants' attitudes toward the ideal of professionalism.DISCUSSION:We conclude that the development of medical ethics education in China is promising while much improvement is needed. In addition, ethics education is not confined to the walls of medical schools; the society at large can have significant influence on the formation of students' professional values.
