The Theoretical Development and Basic Category of Ecological Rent

Abstract:From the aspects of connotation and allocation of ecological rent,this paper discusses the development of ecological rent theory.And based on the attribute of ecological resource and combined with the general principle of land rent theory,the theoretical category of ecological rent such as formation,character,account and allocation are expounded.Essentially,ecological rent is a part of rent and has the general characteristics of a rent.However,ecological rent is a new economic category about natural resources use and protection,and the key of this concept is to explore the impact of exacerbated ecological crisis to human society in a more clear and intuitive way.So,this research upgrades the "interpersonal relations" emphasized in the land rent theory long-term to a new height of "the relationship between human and nature",and which provide a new thinking and channels to understand and solve the ecological environment problem.
