Abstract:In the title compound, [(C7H5O2)2(C5H6N2)2Ni], the NiII atom is six coordinated by four O atoms from two benzoate anions, and two pyridine N atoms from the two 2-amino­pyridine ligands to give a distorted octahedral geometry. All of the O atoms and both the amine groups of the ligands contribute to form a one-dimensional chain consisting of intra- and intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
