Functions of authors survey for periodicals:Taking Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology) as an example

Abstract:Authors survey has three important functions: helping attract high-level manuscripts, strengthening the communication between editors and authors, and promoting the periodicals with definite objects and preparation. The example of the authors survey from Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology) shows that authors survey can help editors understand the objectives of the submission, the opinions of the authors to the periodical, and the suggestions of the authors to the editorial office. Carrying out surveys based on the human-centered principle enriches the research methods of editology.
