Abstract:We establish moduli of continuity and large increment properties for stationary increment Gaussian processes in order to study the path behavior of infinite series of independent Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes. Abstract:We study smoothed quantile estimator for a class of stationary processes. We obtain the convergency rates and the Bahadur representation, as well as the asymptotic normality for this estimator by the method of m-dependent approximation. Abstract:Let {X-t, t >= 1} be a moving average process defined by X-t = Sigma(infinity)(j=0)b(j)xi(t-j), where {b(j), j >= 0} is a sequence of real numbers and {xi(t), - infinity < t < infinity} is a doubly infinite sequence of strictly stationary phi-mixing random variables. Under conditions on {b(j), j >= 0} which entail that {X-t, t >= 1} is either a long memory process or a linear process, we study asymptotics of S-n(s) = Sigma X-[ns](t=1)t (properly normalized). When {X-t, t >= 1} is a long memory process, we establish a functional limit theorem. When {X-t, t >= 1} is a linear process, we not only obtain the multi-dimensional weak convergence for {X-t, t >= 1}, but also weaken the moment condition on {xi(t), -infinity < t <infinity} and the restriction on {b(j), j >= 0}. Finally, we give some applications of our results.

Abstract:We consider a class of stationary processes exhibiting both long-range dependence and heavy tails. Separate limit theorems for sums and for extremes have been established recently in literature with novel objects appearing in the limits. In this article, we establish the joint sum-max limit theorems for this class of processes. In the finite-variance case, the limit consists of two independent components: a fractional Brownian motion arising from the sum, and a long-range dependent random sup measure arising from the maximum. In the infinite-variance case, we obtain in the limit two dependent components: a stable process and a random sup measure whose dependence structure is described through the local time and range of a stable subordinator. For establishing the limit theorem in the latter case, we also develop a joint convergence result for the local time and range of subordinators, which may be of independent interest.

Abstract:This article presents limit theorems of the multipower variation based on a generalized difference for the fractional integral process with jumps observed in high frequency. In particular, we obtain the large number laws for threshold multipower variation and multipower variation and the associated central limit theorems. The limit theorems are applied to estimate Hurst parameter, and the consistence and asymptotic distribution of the estimator are established. These results will provide some new statistical tools to analyze long-memory effect in high-frequency situation.
