A Review of the Researches on the Quantity Category in Chinese

Abstract:Topics about the quantity category have been one of the focuses in the academia of Chinese grammar for years.So many essays and books talk about this issue and terms related to quantity emerge in endlessly.The Researches on the quantity category can be reviewed from major topics,stages and insufficiency.Definition,classification and quality of the concept of quantity and other issues are among the major topics.And the history of quantity category research up to present falls into of four stages according its objects,scopes and methods.However,a relatively clear and widely-accepted definition and the system of quantity category are still unavailable,and theory and methods adopted need to be improved.
