Abstract:Foreign direct investment(FDI) has a great impact on economic development in Africa. The dynamic characteristics of FDI to Africa at temporal list are analyzed with the statistical data of FDI.Performance index to absorb FDI is introduced, and the classification study of Africa countries is applied.By using the model of coefficient of variation, the difference of FDI at spatial list and the reasons for change are discussed;moreover, the outlook of FDI to Africa is analyzed. The results show that the inflows of FDI to Africa increase considerablely with fluctuation, its dynamic mechanism largely depends on the changes of the international political and economic situation in addition to the policies and orientations of the African countries. But its share in gross FDI inflows of the world is always low and reveals a degressive trend, which shows that Africa has a great potential for absorbing the FDI.The difference of FDI between regions and countries of Africa is quite big,but its spatial development is trending to evenness.
