Combining the method of constructing Green functions with operators defined piecewise, the existence result of positive solutions to a singular second order three-point boundary value problem is established. Abstract:In this article, we consider the existence of positive solutions for a class of boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions on infinite intervals ('p(x 0 (t))) 0 + (t)f(t,x(t),x 0 (t)) = 0, 0 1. By applying the Avery-Peterson fixed point theorem in a cone, we obtain the existence of three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem and give an example at last.
Coexistence of Positive Steady-state Solutions for a Class of Reaction-diffusion Model with Holling-Tanner Term

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the coexistence of steady states for a kind of reaction-diffusion model with Holling-Tanner term under the third boundary conditions. By means of maximum principles and Hopf boundary lemma, the prior estimates of the strict positive solutions are given at first. Then by using the topological fixed point theorems and extending Leray-Schauder degree on Banch spaces to positive cones, the existence of positive solutions of the system are considered. At last, by calculating the indices of fixed points of compact operators in cones and combining with spectrum analysis of operators, maximum principles and lower-upper solutions methods, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the positive solutions of the steady system are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, we study m-point boundary value problems for higher order ordinary differential equation {y(2n)(t)=f(t,y(t),y″(t),…,y(2(n−1))(t)),0≤t≤1,y(2i)(0)=0,y(2i)(1)=∑j=1m−2kijy(2i)(ξj),0≤i≤n−1, where f is allowed to change sign, and 0=ξ0<ξ1<ξ2<⋯<ξm−2<ξm−1=1. We show sufficient conditions for the existence of at least two positive solutions by applying a new fixed point theorem in cones and the associated Green’s function. In particular, the second positive solutions for the above problem is not concave.
