Between Ideal and Expedient:The Idea in University Statute

Abstract:Statute is the important basis of constructing modern university system and university governance, and the idea of university is the soul of university education.Although the idea of university could be embodied in university statute in different styles and ways,there is always something tense between the ideal which embodies the idea of university and the expedient which reflects institutional framework.In the process of formulating university statute,we must improve institutional construction,and think highly of the implementation of ideal at the same time.
