Abstract:Objective To find a reliable method to reduce the recurrence of catheter ablation procedure for patients with idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia(ILVT). Methods 146 patients with ILVT from 1994-2008 underwent successful catheter ablation and had a response to follow-up.The patients were divided into three groups which include group 1 with traditional method(n=68),group 2 with traditional method plus target site induction(n=51),group 3 with ECG axis changes post ablation plus target site induction(n=27),the data about the variability of induction of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia and reliability of judgment were analyzed. Results 38.7% patients had a variable inductive window during the ablation procedure.Recurrence rates were 8.8%,3.9% and 0% in groups of induction stimulation in traditional site,traditional site plus target site,with ECG axis changes plus target site induction,respectively. Conclusion Ablation procedure to make ECG axis changes and induce stimulation at target site can increase the reliability of successful judgment.
