Abstract:By means of novel manage control chip of power over ethernet,the system design strategy of standard power over ethernet(PoE) constructed by power sourcing equipment(PSE) and power device(PD) was proposed based on IEEE 802.3af protocol,and the principle and working process of ethernet power supply were analyzed.The power expansion plan of power over ethernet was presented based on multi-transformer paralleling.Correspondingly the power classification strategy suitable for expanded power is given,which solves the problem of power expansion and improves the application range of power over ethernet.

Abstract:This paper proposes a design of powered device interface chip compatible with communication protocol IEEE 802.at standard, for Ethernet control of power supply. This design has all the features IEEE 802.at standard requires, including the detection, classification, under-voltage lockout and inrush current control, support of not less than 25.5W of power. The circuit of the chip is designed with Hangzhou Silan BCD process technique. Specific features of the design are 140mA inrush-current-limiting, complementary-output-enable-signal, under-voltage, overvoltage, over temperature protection, an optional external power adapter input, IEEE 802.3at type2 display signals by new electrical equipment, as well as two-event classification logic implementation.

Abstract:With the packet exchange principle,IPPBX can realize the functions of the traditional PBX on Ethernet and overcome the insufficiency of traditional PBX effectively. It has powerful functions,comprehensive services with less cost. The typical networking mode of IPPBX is introduced in this paper. The design principles of each module system MPC8250 hardware system based on IPPBX and the software system of the system are given. The protocol conversion software of main con?trol module is also analyzed. The test result shows that the system can achieve simultaneous processing of 200 calls and its voice quality is excellent.

Abstract:Remote power-supply technology and its states and foreground in modern application on network communication facilities were introduced.A new surveillant block design strategy with high compatibility and modularized was proposed.The structure of remote power-supply system,the hardware design scheme and software strategy on power-management of the power-distribution manager were presented.Experimental results indicate that the new design improves the efficiency of surveillance on the facilities under control,and realizes power distribution with accuracy and intelligence.

Abstract:POE (Power Over Ethernet) realizes the multiplexing of power transmission and data transmission. To ensure the safety of power supply process, PD (Powered Device), when connected, must be detected by PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment). This article describes the methods of PD detection especially in the symmetrical architecture. The symmetrical architecture means that PSE and PD are connected and either of them can play a role of PSE or PD. In our new approach, signature resistance is replaced by signature capacitance. The connection of PD changes the capacitance load of the system, so the step response can be used to detect the change of capacitance load. This method requires zero static current, which reduces the system power consumption. The theoretical analysis, PSPICE simulation and the experimental results are given.

Abstract:A four-pair architecture of two DC/DC converters with input current balance control strategy in Power over Ethernet (PoE) system is proposed in this paper to get more power from Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE). The four-pair architectures' steady-state models are built to analyze the imbalance problem that exists in the structure. Two main circuit modules operate in parallel and the input current balance circuit is adopted to ensure the balance of both primary current, which can improve the output level and the current sharing performance. Finally, a 50 W 36-60 V-input 12 V-output prototype is built and tested to verify the effectiveness of the presented converter.

Abstract:A fire detection system based on PoE ( Power over Ethernet ) technology is introduced .Real-time analog fire parameters are collected by adopting the proposed new technology .With the application of TCP/IP tech-nology , the data are transferred to the server for further processing via RJ-45 network interface , which makes it easy to reproduce fire virtual scene and forecast fire trend .The system reduces the distorted fire rate and makes fire moni-toring reliable .An energy supply is also provided to fire detection node through the Ethernet port , which simplifies the hardware structure of the system and facilitates the circuit board layout.

Abstract:Data centers consume about 2% of the world’s electricity with continuing growth. The power supply system plays a significant role in the energy saving and decarbonization of data centers. The development of power electronics brings opportunities for more efficient and reliable data centers. This article presents an overview of the data center power supply system covering the power delivery path from the grid edge to onboard point-of-load (PoL) conversion. The system architectures are introduced at first with the discussion on efficiency and reliably. The power conversion stages of data center power supply system are discussed as ac–dc conversions and dc–dc conversions. The state-of-the-art techniques in topology, control, and device are investigated. This article is an attempt to provide an overview for high-performance data center power supply system design.

Abstract:In the typical Power over Ethernet (PoE) system, the conventional powered device (PD) with two-pair architecture can only provide power below 20 W to the distant loads, which greatly restricts its applications in many areas. An advanced type of four-pair architecture with an input current balance function for the PoE system is proposed in this paper to not only improve the power level, but also achieve the high conversion efficiency. The steady-state model of the four-pair architecture is built to explore the existing imbalance problem, which is mainly caused by the structure and impedance inconsistency. The proposed four-pair architecture consists of two main converter modules operated in parallel. An input current balance scheme is adopted to reduce the difference of both primary currents, which can increase the transmission power and improve the current sharing performance. Furthermore, the small-signal model of the paralleled converters with an input current balance control strategy is constructed to give a design guideline for the control loop. Finally, a 50-W prototype is built and tested to verify the effectiveness of the presented architecture and control strategy.

Abstract:For many distributed power systems (DPSs) such as light-emitting diode lighting and battery management, communication is essential. This study presents an improved method of integrating power transfer and communication through a common bus by applying the concept of power/data time division multiplexing transmission (PD-TDMT). The proposed method employs power electronic topologies as the basic circuits to create the power transfer system and utilises the power transmission intervals for communication. Compared with conventional communication techniques in DPS, the proposed method has the advantages of simple implementation, enhanced noise immunity and higher output power capacity. The general structure of PD-TDMT systems is presented, which includes power sourcing equipment (PSE) and powered devices (PDs). A series of PSE and PD circuits are derived based on dc–dc topologies. The timing sequence of power transfer and communication is given. To suppress the common-mode interferences under the high-power condition, a balanced power transmission system is also proposed. Besides, the termination circuits are discussed in detail under the long-distance transmission condition. Finally, the proposed method and theoretical analysis are verified by experiment.

Abstract:There are some defects in the traditional distribution network like high power loss, unbalanced power flow and vary kinds of negative effects brought by the integration of distributed generators. To overcome these deficiencies, based on power electronical devices, a device called power exchange node that can actively control power flow in the distribution network is proposed. Its topology, working principle as well as its operation mode in the distribution network are preliminarily discussed. Matlab/Simulink is used to establish the model of the proposed power exchange node to verify its fast and stable ability of power exchange. Finally, PSO algorithm is used in an example of a distribution network containing a power exchange node to verify its ability of power loss reduction.

Abstract:As the requirements for processing power of the datacenters continues to increase rapidly, higher performance networks are required to sustain the increased communication bandwidth demand within the data center. Current data center networks cannot affordably satisfy the required bandwidth of emerging application without consuming excessive power. Optical interconnects provide a viable solution offering high throughput, reduced latency and reduced energy consumption compared to current networks based on commodity switches. This paper presents a novel hybrid approach that use commodity Ethernet switches for intra-rack communication and WDM PON for inter-rack communication. The proposed scheme is based on readily available, passive optical components devices, thus eliminating the power dissipated in Top-of-the-Rack switches for the inter-rack communication. The performance evaluation based on simulation shows up to 10% power reduction with negligible increase on the packet latency.

Abstract:As Ethernet technology is being matured and perfect, Ethernet also show the advantage of its application in industrial control field because of its good reliability and real-time performance. After introducing calculation method of basic power parameter briefly, the Ethernet communication strategy between smart meter and acquisition terminal in the electric energy data acquisition system is studied for the date communication requirements of energy data acquisition. The rule of data transfer regulation, and formulation method of Modbus/TCP protocol based on DLT_645, hardware design and software design of Ethernet communication interface are given. The test showed communication is stabilized, and the transmission efficiency of electric energy data meet requirement.

Abstract:As intelligent grid has been fully promoted in recent years, electric information acquisition system has become an important factor restricting its development. In addition to the development of user-side service functions, the communication mode of the acquisition system has also become crucial. In view of the current problems of low data transmission efficiency, inadequate data acquisition and low real-time monitoring efficiency of intelligent meters, this paper proposes a method for collecting and returning electric power data based on an operator's fiber optic network. The method adds an embedded fiber network unit module to the intelligent meter, encodes electric power data and other parameters of the intelligent meter according to the DL/T645 and Q/GDW376.1 protocols of the automatic meter reading system, and realizes the meter reading function, high-speed broadband access network function, and broadband Internet access function for users through the TCP/IP protocol of fiber communication technology and the existing power line carrier technology. The experimental results show that the device has good operating status, high data acquisition success rate, and satisfactory speed test results. This method provides a new direction for realizing the informatization and automation of the intelligent grid, and provides a new way for user broadband access through combination with power line carrier.

Abstract:The mass of the embedded systems are driven by second batteries, not by wired power supply. So saving energy is one of the main design goals for embedded system. In this paper we present a new technique for modelling and solving the dynamic power management (DPM) problem for embedded systems with complex behavioural characteristics. First we model a power-managed embedded computing system as a controllable Flow Chart. Then we use the Poisson process for optimisation, and give the power management algorithm by the help of Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS) technology. At last we built the experimental model using the PXA 255 Processors. The experimental results showed that the proposed technique can achieve more than 12% power saving compared to other existing DPM techniques.
