Abstract:The concept of development is an ever-lasting basis of comparative art research,which adjusts its research scope and direction according to the change of global art and discipline evolution and studies artistic phenomena and forms of different nations and ethnic groups in the world with a developing academic vision and open cultural stance.With an open cultural standpoint and academic horizon as the foundation,the development concept of comparative art studies takes the art of distinctive nations or ethnic groups as objects.Furthermore,comparative art studies bring various subjects into the range of comparative and interdisciplinary research.Therefore,the open development concept becomes an essential basis for the long-term progress of comparative art studies.
