Abstract:The quality and efficiency of gas pipeline management system can be improved by using geographic information system (GIS) to manage long-distance gas pipeline. A GIS platform is developed with MapObjects and C++ Builder programming language. This platform sends the pipeline system information collected by SCADA system at database and displays these records real-timely and audio-visually in control center, which facilitates the operator to monitor the whole pipeline system and raises the scientific management level of long-distance gas pipeline.

Abstract:With the development of the Geoinformatics and computer technology,GIS has been applied in many Engineering projects by its strong analysis function.This paper discussed on how to realize the visualization of pipeline information of Shan-Jing-Jin second term petroleum natural gas transmission project by the spatial analysis function of GIS.It changed the traditional way of manually mapping on paper,and enhanced the user to understand and grasp the petroleum natural gas pipeline information by visual and realistic stereo landform representation.It is helpful for the manager making decision on managing and designing the pipeline.

Abstract:As natural gas industry develops constantly in China, the gas enterprises face a new issue i.e. how to manage the urban gas pipeline system intelligently. The past-used Management Information System (MIS) can't meet the requirements of the current accurate management for urban gas pipeline systems whatever on efficiency, accuracy, and intelligent level. Therefore, the geography information system (GIS) is created as a new management system by computer. GIS has the following main features: i.e. GIS has accurate management, standard map to make direct judgment, and clean corresponding relationship between coordinates and objects. According to the industrial requirements and the technical feasibility for the management system, the basic abilities for GIS have also been described. According to the development of gas engineering techniques, the application and development of GIS are studied. Also some shortcomings of GIS at the present stage are analyzed.

Abstract:The current file classification management method of fiel d oil pipeline survey and design data has such drawbacks as failing to manage the relationship between data and present the relationship of graphic data and attribute data on the map. In or-der to improve the combat readiness and management capabilities of field oil pipeline route and establish an efficient management and assistant decision-making system, ArcSDE database engine and SQL Server database technology are employed to manage the pi-pleline data with ArcGIS as a development platform and the overall development of the function of the system module and applica-tion interface is conducted with ArcEngine components and Visual C#. The direction of the line and visualization of line resource management are standardized, the intelligent-aided generation of the line process plan and configuration plan can be achieved as as to improve the management level of combat readiness of pipelines.

Abstract:The 3D GIS is used to design gas-pipelines accurately and manage it efficiently,based on which,the simulation of 3D gas-pipelines are discussed by applying ArcGIS.It is from the scene of born through digital elevation model and digital terrain model to apply the design technology of 3D pipelines to shape the vector data of pipelines.Furthermore,the modeling theory of 3D simulation of gas-pipeline and the structure of the simulation system of 3D gas-pipeline by means of ArcGIS and its extendable function are probed into.Finally,an example is taken to demonstrate the feasibility and practical application effect.

Abstract:Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are designed to support the management, manipulation, analysis, and modeling of spatial data. Water supply pipeline network is a system which has a large of spatial attribute data. In order to improve the managing and working efficiency, the paper proposed a new method for designing the long distance pipeline based on GIS. Seamless integration of GIS platform, hydraulic model of long distance pipeline is built which is base of hydraulic calculation. The model is based on building pipeline concise model dynamic. The hydraulic calculation is to guarantee the authenticity of the model which can help to simulate the whole system status and analyze the condition of long distance pipeline. The pressure and safety coefficient models of long pipeline based on GIS can help operator to know the details of every segment in the long distance pipeline system. The method locates the weakness of long distance pipeline and displayed impressively on GIS platform. All the technologies strengthen the security of the pipeline design, improve the accuracy of hydraulic calculation, and help operators to analyze the long distance pipeline condition by spatial visualization. The example shows that the method is reasonable, effective, and has been applied to practical project.

Abstract:On the research basis of current conditions of highway transportation geographical information system construction,a new geographical information platform is put forward for highway project based on SuperMap Objects,a robust GIS components.By investigating highway data and its sources in detail,such issues as system architecture,conceptual data models,physical data models and system functions of this platform are studied.Some key problems encountered in this project and its solutions are presented.The design and application of highway project GIS-T are discussed on the basis of a case study of Guangdong highway project geographical information platform.The feasibility of the technologies and methods are tested thorough the system.

Abstract:Aiming at the shortcoming of repetitious construction and hard to maintain the data of present pipelines GIS ,this paper analyses the necessity of constructing a mutilevel underground pipeline GIS for cities based on data sharing.An idea that generalizes the information of synthetic pipelines from specialised ones;the data model of mutilevel underground pipeline GIS for cities based on data sharing;the design and development of distributed pipeline GIS system based on ArcSDE are presented.Thus,the data sharing between two pipeline systems has realized and therefore,the repetitious construction is effectively avoided.

Abstract:After several decades of development,Jiangsu oilfield has accumulated large amounts of historical data.For effective use of these data for daily production and decision-making,the Geographic Information System(GIS) for Jiangsu oilfield is developed by using MapGuide.This system contains spatial data,production data and images,while MapGuide connecting the database via FDO technology.In order to reduce user access waiting time,the large images are separated into small pieces.This system has lots of functions such as information sharing,data query and analysis and map management.Practical results show its efficiency.

Abstract:Underground pipeline management system based on traditional GIS generally runs only on a PC or a Client/Server mode network. Such an application always results in resource waste and redundant construction, especially in resource sharing. Web GIS is a type of Geographic Information System based on Internet or Intranet and all users can use this on World Wide Web with permission.Principle and characteristic of Web GIS are introduced briefly, and the methods of using this system are described. Abstract:In this paper, current researches and implementation of GIS in transportation around the world are firstly studied. Then future developments of GIS-T are discussed in detail. Abstract:Townlet is the economic, cultural and political center within a limited rural area, so numeralization of these small towns provides an absolutely new means for their planning, constructing and management, and it is also an efficient way to ensure their sustainable development. With the support of COMGIS technology, an information system of pipeline network for townlet was introduced, which is based on SuperMap components whose development language is C#. After the character of the component and data organization were briefly introduced, some key technologies such as function modules of the system, logic architecture of the system and foundation of spatial database, were elaborated.
