Abstract:By adopting the direct method and fixed point method, we prove that the Hyers-Ulam stability of the following additive-quadratic functional equation \begin{equation} f(x+y, z+w)+f(x-y, z-w)-2 f(x, z)-2 f(x, w)=0 \end{equation} in $\beta$-homogeneous $F$-spaces and quasi-Banach spaces. There are some differences that we consider the target space with the $\beta$-homogeneous norm and quasi-norm. Overcoming the $\beta$-homogeneous norm and quasi-norm bottlenecks, we get some new results.

Abstract:This manuscript introduces a novel three-variable cubic functional equation and derives its general solution. Employing both the direct and fixed-point methods, we investigate the orthogonal stability of this equation within the frameworks of quasi-β-Banach spaces and multi-Banach spaces. Additionally, the study explores the stability of the equation in various extended Banach spaces and provides a specific example illustrating the absence of stability in certain cases.

Abstract:Firstly ,the new Euler‐Lagrange type cubic functional equation f (x+ y -2z)+f(y+ z -2x)+ f(z+ x -2y)+ 6f (x+ y+ z)= 9[f (x+ y)+ f (y+ z)+ f (z + x)] -18[f(x)+ f(y)+ f(z)] in Banach spaces was investigated .Secondly ,equivalence of six functional equations was discussed . Lastly , by using the fixed pointed alternative , the general solution to the above functional equation was given and the stability of cubic functional equation was proved .

Abstract:In this paper, the Hyers–Ulam stability of linear quaternion-valued differential equations with two-sided constant coefficients are studied. Utilizing the complex representation of quaternions, we transform a n th-order quaternion-valued differential equation with two-sided constant coefficients into four n th-order complex differential equations. Then we derive the Hyers–Ulam stability by means of the reduced order method and the relationship between the quaternion-valued differential equations and the system of complex-valued differential equations. Two examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the theoretical results.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of certain nonlinear functional equations. Considerations of such stabilities in different branches of mathematics have been very extensive. Again the fuzzy concepts along with their several extensions have appeared in almost all branches of mathematics. Here we work on intuitionistic fuzzy real Banach spaces, which is obtained by combining together the concepts of fuzzy Banach spaces with intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We establish that pexiderized quadratic functional equations defined on such spaces are stable in the sense of Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability. We adopt a fixed point approach to the problem. Precisely, we use a generxalized contraction mapping principle. The result is illustrated with an example.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the generalized quintic-septic Camassa-Holm (gqsCH) equation, which is actually an extension of the quintic CH equation and the septic CH equation. We first prove the existence of the single peakon. Then, by constructing certain Lyapunov functionals, we prove the stability of peakons in the energy space H 1 ( R ) H^1(\mathbb {R}) -norm. Finally, we also prove that the sum of N N sufficiently decoupled peakons is orbitally stable in the energy space by using energy argument, combining the method of the orbital stability of single peakons with monotonicity of the local energy norm.

Abstract:In this paper, by introducing new matrix operations and using a specific inverse relation, we establish the dual forms of the orthogonality relations for some well-known discrete and continuous $q$-orthogonal polynomials from the Askey-scheme such as the little and big $q$-Jacobi, $q$-Racah, (generalized) $q$-Laguerre, as well as the Askey-Wilson polynomials. As one of the most interesting results, we show that the Askey-Wilson $q$-beta integral represented in terms of the VWP-balanced $\,_8\phi_7$ series is just a dual form of the orthogonality relation of the Askey-Wilson polynomials.

Abstract:We prove that the Möbius function is orthogonal to polynomials over $\mathbb{F}_q[x]$ (up to a characteristic condition). We use this orthogonality property to count prime solutions to affine-linear equations of bounded complexity in $\mathbb{F}_p[x]$, with analog to a work of Green and Tao.

Abstract:The integrability of the cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrodinger equation is investigated numerically. By analytically studying the linear stability of the homogeneous state and numerically solving such a continuum Hamiltonian dynamic system, we show that the quintic nonlinear term leads to a spatiotemporal complexity of wave fields, and illustrate that this behaviour is associated with the stochastic partition of energy in Fourier modes. In addition, we show the presence of the stochastic motion is due to the homoclinic orbit crossings.

Abstract:In this contribution, we study the orthogonality conditions satisfied by Al-Salam-Carlitz polynomials $U^{(a)}_n(x;q)$ when the parameters $a$ and $q$ are not necessarily real nor `classical', i.e., the linear functional $\bf u$ with respect to such polynomial sequence is quasi-definite and not positive definite. We establish orthogonality on a simple contour in the complex plane which depends on the parameters. In all cases we show that the orthogonality conditions characterize the Al-Salam-Carlitz polynomials $U_n^{(a)}(x;q)$ of degree $n$ up to a constant factor. We also obtain a generalization of the unique generating function for these polynomials.
