Investigation on the Knowledge of Emergency Aid and Relevant Needs Among University Students

Abstract:Objective To investigate the knowledge of emergency aid and relevant needs among university students, study the characteristic and the problems, and to provide scientific evidence for education.Method An questionnaire investigation was conducted among university students with the self-made questionnaire and the data was analyzed.Results Knowledge rate of burn injury, intraocular foreign body, nosebleed, contacting with poisonous substance, frostbite injury, sting injury, and snake-bites among university students were 65.45%、70.86%、48.56%、67.17%、33.69%、47.12%、55.24%; few university students accepted systemic education and training, and they hoped to acquire more knowledge of emergency aid. Conclusion The awareness degree about knowledge of emergency aid among university students is quite low and should be improved urgently. It is necessary to strengthen education about emergency aid for the university students.
