THE INVESTIGATION ON SELF-RESCUE AND ESCAPE SKILLS IN PUBLIC EMERGENCIES OF 135 MIDDLE-SCHOOL STUDENTS IN ONE CITY

Abstract:[Objective] To evaluate middle-school students,self-rescue and escape skills in public emergencies such as earthquake,flood and so on,and give advice to safety education in school.[Methods] Used cluster sampling method,randomly selected 135 junior /senior high school students who had lessons during the summer vacation,and conducted a questionnaire survey among them.[Results] The self-rescue skills of middle-school students were poor.The average score of junior high school students was 6.40,and the score of senior high school students was 7.97(total was 15).85.0% junior high school students and 57.4% senior high school students chosen to escape from the exit when there was fire on the third floor of the market,but this was an unsuitable method to escape.The teaching methods that students like was field simulation,self-rescue knowledge manual,self-rescue video and so on.[ Conclusion] Schools should take advantage of a variety of methods to strengthen the self-rescue and escape skills education inmiddle-school students and create safe environment in schools.
