Abstract:The crystals of the title compound, C15H15N3O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-nitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule displays a nearly planar structure. The overlapped arrangement of nearly parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules and centroid-centroid distance of 3.5642 (16) Angstrom suggest pi,pi stacking. Adjacent molecules are linked to each other via N-H...O hydrogen bonds to form a helical supramolecular structure.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H13ClN4O6, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the dinitrophenyl group, the distances of 1.413 (3) and 1.405 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.372 (4) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The benzene rings in the molecule are nearly coplanar, and the overlapped arrangement of benzene rings of neighboring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:In the title compound, [Zn(C4H5O2)Cl(C6H6N4S2)]·H2O, the ZnII cation is coordinated by a bidentate diaminobithiazole (DABT) ligand, a but-2-enoate anion and a Cl− anion in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. Within the DABT ligand, the two thiazole rings are twisted to each other at a dihedral angle of 4.38 (10)°. An intramolecular N—H...O interaction occurs. The centroid–centroid distance of 3.6650 (17) Å and partially overlapped arrangement between nearly parallel thiazole rings of adjacent complexes indicate the existence of π–π stacking in the crystal structure. Abstract:C16H17N3O2, orthorhombic, Pna2\ (no. 33), a = 20.196(4) A, b = 6.215(1)A,c = 11.243(2)Ä,V= 1411.3A 3 ,Z = 4,Source of material 2-Hydroxybenzoylhydrazine (0.02 mol, 3.04 g) was dissolved in anhydrous ethanol (50 ml) and 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (0.02 mol, 2.98 g) was added to it.The mixture was refluxed for 2 h, the precipitate formed was collected by filtration, and washed with ethanol.The product was recrystallized from ethanol and dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound.The compound (2.0 mmol, 0.56 g) was dissolved in DMF (30 ml) and kept at room temperature for 30 d to obtain yellow block crystals, which were collected and washed with distilled water. Experimental detailsΗ and H2 atoms were located from difference maps, and their parameters were refined.The remaining Η atoms were positioned geometrically and allowed to ride on their parent atoms.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].
