Abstract:There are many traffic problems in big cities today. Many city governors expect to alleviate the traffic congestion through constructing tunnels. The tunnel costs huge, and the traffic flows around the exit and entrance are complex. The traffic impact intensity and range need to be predicted before carrying out the item so that the traffic condition can be clarified. The current methods to ensure the traffic impact range have too many assumptions so that the accurate degree is low, and can't get the exact traffic impact intensity on the item peripheral roads. This paper introduces morphological analysis variable of the space syntax, draws on the method of computing accessibility, affiliates the trendency of the direction to the traffic volume resistance, and designs a easily operable model to assign the traffic volume and a method to ensure the aggressive influence range and negative influence range, according to tunnels' characteristics. At last, Hankou Tunnel in Nanjing is taken for example to carry out the empirical study. The result shows that the traffic impact intensity doesn't spread even from the traffic source, but relates to the topological depth and resistance of roads.
