Abstract:【Objective】 To compare the effect of advanced oral immunosuppressive regimens and adopting anti-CD25 monoclonal antibody induction on the safety and efficacy of recipient in the early stage after living related renal transplantation. 【Methods】 Sixty recipients in our center received triple immunosuppressive maintenance therapy including calcineurin inhibitors (CNI), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), and Prednisone (CNI + MMF + Prednisone), and they were divided into two groups randomly, with or without administration of anti-CD25 monoclonal antibody. Anti-CD25 monoclonal antibody was used in the patients of groupⅠ (n = 30), while the patients in groupⅡ (n = 30) received advanced oral immunosuppressant before transplantation. All the subjects were closely followed up and the safety and efficacy of the two different immunosuppressive regimens were assessed within the first three months postoperatively. Furthermore, the one-year patient / graft survival rate and the creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) were evaluated in some cases of the two groups. 【Results】 Acute rejection episodes were observed in 2 out of 30 (6.7%) in groupⅠ, and 1 out of 30 (3.3%) in groupⅡ (P = 1.00). The recovery of serum creatinine (Scr) and renal function, complications like liver function damage, leukocytopenia and infection, and the one-year patient / graft survival rate and Ccr in some cases showed no statistical significance (P > 0.05). 【Conclusions】 Advanced oral immunosuppressive regimen could replace anti-CD25 monoclonal antibody induction therapy due to its safety and effectiveness in related living renal transplantation. However, long-term follow-up of this immunosuppressive regimen in related living renal transplantation is needed.
