Experiences and Discussions on Bilingual Education in the Professional Course of Rare-Earth Chemistry

Abstract:Taking the course of Rare Earth Chemistry as a typical example,the necessity and importance of bilingual education in the professional courses designed for the year-four undergraduate students were demonstrated.Based on the real bilingual teaching practicing and experiences,the definition and meaningfulness of bilingual education in professional courses were elaborated.The selection and using of teaching materials(textbook,lecture notes,etc.) the organization and methodologies of education,and the outcome evaluation methods were also illustrated in detail.Meanwhile,the existing problems and the corresponding solutions encountered during the process of practicing bilingual education in the professional courses were discussed.
