Regional Disparity and Rectification Analysis in China:Based on GVC and NVC's Perspective

Abstract:Eastern areas's entry into GVC,not only causes regional disparity,but also reduces industry linkage.Low position of eastern areas locks central and western areas in supplier of labor and raw materi- al.International subcontracting in eastern areas might transfer to other developing countries when produc- tion cost increases.We find that NVC based on GVC is a feasible road to industrial upgrading and balanced development of area.But establishment of NVC needs to transfer labor-intensive industry to central and western areas.Therefore we should lower transaction cost of inland areas.
