The Knowledge Spillover Effects of FDI in China:An Empirical Analysis based on the Number of Patent Authorizations

Abstract:Whether has FDI made knowledge spillover effect? If it has, then how much the effect should be .In this text, we make use of the panel dada in national level and regional level from 1996 to 2004.By setting the number of domestic patentizations as the dependent variable and FDI as an independent variable, we build a linear regression model to examine the spillover effect. As a result, the interrelation between the number of domestic patentizations and FDI is not so remarkable as we consider. We should take further measures to enhance the spillover effect from FDI and take every advantage of it.
