Comparative Analysis of Volatile Constituents between Recipe Zhen-Wu-Tang and its Single Herb by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract:Objective To compare the volatile constituents between recipe Zhen-Wu-Tang and its single herb Zingiber and Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae.Methods All the volatile oil samples were extracted by wet distillation and analyzed by technology of GC-MS.Results In total,82,51,21,and 10 volatile components in essential oil of recipe Zhen-Wu-Tang,Zingiber,Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae and negative sample of Zingiber and Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae were respectively determined qualitatively and quantitatively,accounting for 80.6%,91.5%,57.5% and 91.4% total contents of volatile oil of recipe Zhen-Wu-Tang,Zingiber,Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae and negative sample of Zingiber and Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae,respectively.Conclusion The volatile components of the recipe Zhen-Wu-Tang in number are almost addition of that of two single herbal medicines Zingiber and Rhizome Atractylodes Macrocephalae,and the volatile components of the rest three herbal medicines are few.
