GC-MS ANALYSIS OF VOLATILE COMPONENTS FROM LEAVES OF DIFFERENT MYRICA RUBRA

Abstract:The volatile oils from leaves of different Myrica rubra varieties were analyzed and compared by GC-MS.The forteen same components were detected in the three kinds of Myrica rubra leaves.The contents of the same components accounted for 53.3%,48.4%,55.5% of Muyemei,Heitanmei,Dongkuimei overall volatile oils repectively.The essential oil contained multiple terpenes in the Myrica rubra leaves.The components had a role of preservation of Myrica rubra fruit.The relative content of terpenes in the Dongkuimei leaves was the highest.This could explaine why the period of keep-freshness of Dongkuimei fruits was relatively longer.The relative content of aroma substance in the Muyemei leaves was the highest.This was the reason why the aroma of Muyemei fruits was the most full-bodied.
