Cloning and Expression of Non-coding RNA BcNR1 in Brassica campestris L. var. utilis

Abstract:Non-coding RNA is a group of new special RNA widely existed in many organisms.In this study,Brassica campestris L.ssp.chinensis(L.)Makino var.utilis was used as the experimental material.BcNR1 gene,homologous to the BcMF11 encoding pollen-specific non-coding gene of Chinese cabbage,was cloned from Brassica campestris L.var.utilis by PCR amplification.BcNR1 had a total length of 801 bp.Sequence analysis revealed that BcNR1 is a novel non-coding RNA containing a high density of stop codons and lacking extensive open reading frame.RT-PCR analysis showed that BcNR1 was highly expressed in anthers.It means that the non-coding RNA may act in pollen development.
