Research Progress on Synthesis of Edulans

Abstract:Edulans,which have intense pleasant and unique note,are widely found in the volatile components of food,cosmetics,tobacco,etc.And edulans are also regarded as important aroma of purple skinned Passiflora edulis.Some studies on the synthesis of edulans have been reported.In this paper,the status of synthesis of edulans used as an important flavoring was reviewed with 22 references.Some reactions and general ways of synthesis were discussed.Some suggestions for the continuous research and the developmental prospect in future are also discussed.
