Abstract:Wang Xianming holds that ,the studies of regional history means the one engagedinthe progressof regional history with the same nature and same trendin a definite ti me and space .But the so-called re-gional history studyin recent years is mostly the studies of regional di mension. Zhang Li min argues thatthe regional historyis the one to studythe space of it ,hence the researchers must concernthe environmen-tal function andinfluence onthe formation and evolution of regions .But morei mportant is that the human-istic factors ,such as politics ,economy ,society and culture ,etc ., which could not be included in naturalscience ,should be emphasized. Wu Hongqi takes that ,at present ,the scholars habitually adopt the com-parative study as their analytical method,but it is far fromenoughfor the comparison betweentheindivid-ual features of the regions .It is to adopt a dialectical unity toinvestigate the relationship of mutual influ-ence and mutual function between regional social phenomena . Tang Lixing points out that ,the study ofmodern Chinese historyinthe past is good at grand narration,which emphasized of the period andthe pro-gress of history .But ,infact ,the continuity andinertia of the traditional society are still in the deep stra-tumof history determines the orientation of modern history . Therefore ,only by concerning the continuityof historical progress ,can the goal of studying the whole history of the society be genuinely realized.
