Analysis of Volatile Oil Components in Evodiae Fructus from Various Habitats

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the chemical components of the essential oil of the evodiae fructus from various habitats and provide scientific basis for its quality control.Methods:The essential oil was extracted by water-steam distillation and separated by GC capillary column chromatography.The relative contents of chemical components were determined by normalization and were identified by GC-MS method.Results:Eight batches of evodiae fructus from various habitats were determined and showed 8 characteristic common compounds,namely ocimene,3,7-dimethyl-1,6-octadien-3-ol,[1S-1α,2β,4β)]-1-ethenyl-1-methyl-2,4-bis(1-methylethenyl)-cyclohexane,1α,4aα,8aα-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,8a-octahydro-7-methyl-4-methylene-1-(1-methylethyl)-naphthalene,2-methylene-6,8,8-trimethyl-tricyclo[5.2.2.0(1,6)]undecan-3-ol,τ-muurolol,α-cadinol,and 2-pentadecanone.Conclusion:There are some differences on the chemical components of the essential oil of the evodiae fructus from various habitats.
