Abstract:The development method of last NC machine was researched.After analyzing the principle of last NC machining,general design of the whole machine was presented and the detailed realization method of each module was introduced.Based on these methods,a last NC machine was developed successfully.

Abstract:Based on industry PC and domestic GT400-SV multiaxis motion control card,a new open architecture numerical control shoe last machine tool was developed.The components of system hardware were proposed,and the structure of NC system application software was discussed.The software was designed and developed in the WINDOWS environment.Practicability and characteristics of open architecture were proved when shoe last machining on the control of the NC systems.

Abstract:Shoe last is the solid form around which a shoe is molded. The application of CAD/CAM technology is the vital solution to improve shoe last industry. This paper presents an integrated CAD/CAM system development approach for shoe last. The system is implemented in Unigraphics software and Visual C++ programming. The shoe last CAD model is represented by a regular surface point data set. The design process is realized by manipulating the data set. The data set can then be used to construct surface model of shoe last. With the help of the CAM functions provided by UG/Manufacturing, the NC program can be obtained from the surface model and then controls a specialized shoe last NC machine to finish the machining process. The use of this integrated system greatly results in the production of high quality shoe lasts in a shorter time. This system development method is suitable for other CAD/CAM systems development of products with complex shapes.

Abstract:To solve the NC (numerical control) defects of instability, high cost and large volume based on PC system,the NC hardware platform was established based on the PMAC motion control card and ARM system. The structure of main control software was designed based on ARM-Linux operation system. The module partition scheme of embedded NC system hardware was researched. The solution of NC code complier and the driver of PMAC in Linux were given. The practice shows that the NC machining require can be meet with real time embedded NC system.

Abstract:In order to generate the Numerical Control (NC) machining program of variant product rapidly, design principles of NC program for customized product was studied. The NC program design method of establishing master NC program based on product variant master model was proposed. In order to establish master NC program, the machining features of customized product were analyzed and defined, and NC subprogram base was designed. Furthermore, a prototype of master NC program was designed. The NC machining program of customized product could be obtained by analyzing, calculating and processing the data through a NC program generation process. In addition, combining tabular layouts of article characteristics with master NC program, the variant design of NC machining program could be achieved. Finally, an application example was given to verify the above-mentioned principles and methods. Results indicated that this method could realize the downstream variant response of customized product development process, and support mass customization production efficiently.

Abstract:Aiming at the rapid design issues of NC machining program in the context of mass customization,a kind of master NC program model that fits to be used in part dimension variant design was presented after analyzing the variant design technologies and NC programming technologies. The content and structure of master NC program were analyzed in detail based on the definition and partition of machining feature as well as the design of NC subprogram base. Then the constructing process of master NC program was presented. At the same time, a design guide of master NC program was developed, so master NC program of customized part family can be constructed rapidly through the interaction of human and computer, and the NC machining program generation based on master NC program is realized. Therefore, the NC machining program of variant part can be generated rapidly, and the efficiency and automation level of NC programming are heightened. Finally, an application example was given to verify the feasibility of principles.

Abstract:In the new and emerging mass customization (MC) strategy, companies provide customized products or services on the basis of flexible manufacturing and modem information technology (IT). This paper focuses on the rapid design and automatization issue of NC machining program. A NC programming system for mass customization was investigated and employed to construct master NC program of part family and generate NC machining program of variant part rapidly. The purpose is to increase the development efficiency of NC machining program in mass customization company and make the NC machining program meet the variant design of part. In order to expedite the implementation of such a system,the NC programming principle for mass customization was researched. The model of master NC program was presented based on the definition of machining feature and the design of NC subprogram base. In addition,the content and structure of master NC program were analyzed. Then a prototype system was designed and its function model was presented on the basis of CAD system and PDM system. Finally,a case study on bearing cover was carried out to verify the validity of this system.

Abstract:To meet the NC program design of mechanical parts for Mass Customization, this paper puts forward the systematic structure and information model of NC program design. On the basis of the NC program intelligent design system, Product Data Management (PDM) and CAD are integrated as the platform, then, the main NC program of part is obtained through putting the parameter document into the NC program intelligent design system from SML (Tabular Layouts of Article Characteristics). NC Meta-model program stock is founded by adopting the Meta-model idea, which is seen as the resource-stock for NC design. According to the customization need, the parameters are changed in SML, then, the Meta-model program stock is searched, the configuration and variant design are realized through distilling, increasing, deleting and modifying the sub-program. Finally, the customized NC code is obtained. The T6436 rotor-circulating part is applied to validate the theory in the paper. Results show the NC program design for Mass Customization improves the design efficiency and meets product customization.

Abstract:A virtual system based on virtual manufacturing technique and NC processing technique for NC milling is developed with Visual C++6.0. The control panel and mill bed of this system is similar to that of the real machine. This system can realize the 3D simulation of machining process and collision-checking during cutting process. It can check most of syntax errors in NC program to reduce the waste of resource and equipment and to raise the using ratio of NC machine.

Abstract:To improve the lower precision and the stability of the domestic EDM CNC system ,the research developed the high-speed and high-precision EDM CNC system which on the basis of the modern PC platform and NC controller. In this system ,a PC and Windows operating system was employed as the principal computer, and the PCI,DSP,FPGA was employed as the subordinate computer. It was able to achieve multi-axis orbital machining and high-speed complex jump machining. By being applied to EDM machine and carrying out the experiments of jump and multi-axis orbital machining,the system validated its performance of high stability and reliability.

Abstract:With the development of manufacturing, numerical control (NC) machining simulation has become a modern tool to obtain safe and reliable machining operations. Although some research and commercial software about NC machining simulations is available, most of them is oriented for G&M code. It is a low-level data model for computer numerical control (CNC), which has inherent drawbacks such as incomplete data and lack of accuracy. These limitations hinder the development of a real simulation system. Whereas, standard for the exchange of product data-compliant numerical control (STEP-NC) is a new and high-level data model for CNC. It provides rich information for CNC machine tools, which creates the condition for an informative and real simulation. Therefore, this paper proposes STEP-NC based high-level NC machining simulations solution integrated with computer-aided design/computer-aided process planning/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAPP/CAM). It turned out that the research provides a better informed simulation environment and promotes the development of modern manufacturing.
