Abstract:The sera of 78 patients with invasive amoebiasis were tested for antiamoebic antibodies by the techniques of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), indirect haemagglutination (IHA), indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) and counterimmunoelectrophoresis (CIEP). Results showed that the ELISA compared favourably with IHA and IFA tests in terms of sensitivity and specificity. ELISA, IHA and IFA detected 97.4%, 96.2% and 98.7% of the patients respectively. CIEP was the least sensitive of the 4 serological methods with a sensitivity of 88.5%. The advantages and disadvantages of the 4 serodiagnostic procedures are discussed.

Abstract:The diagnosis of amoebiasis presents problems, particularly if one relies on finding the organism. Thus, serologic tests are expedient. A gel diffusion precipitin test (GDP), commercially available, simple to perform, and inexpensive, was compared with the indirect hemagglutination test (IHA). 257 Patients' sera were tested; 14 had amoebic colitis, 21 had amoebic liver abscess, 63 had suspected amoebic liver abscess, and 46 had inflammatory bowel disease. GDP tests were positive in 85% of amoebic colitis and 95% of amoebic liver abscess patients; IHA was positive in 91% of amoebic colitis and 94% of abscess patients. Within 6 mo, GDP tests became negative in 66% of patients. IHA tests were observed positive up to 20 yr. The performance characteristics of diagnostic methods in amoebiasis, fecal examination, IHA and GDP, show serologic tests have superior sensitivity and predictive value in recognizing invasive disease.

Abstract:With the development of aquaculture industry in our country,diseases are becoming increasingly serious.How to detect and diagnose such diseases correctly and rapidly has become a hot topic.Compared with the classic biological and chemical methods,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) is a quick,accurate,simple and convenient method of high sensitivity.It has become an effective means of pathogen detection in lab.In the paper,the theory of ELSIA,its application in the diagnosis of bacterial and viralpathogens in aquiculture and in the detection of marine biological toxin are described.(1) Theory of ELSIAThe basis of ELSIA is the idiosyncratic reaction of antigen-antibody.Sample solution,enzyme conjugate and antibody react in the microtiter wells and wash away the unbound enzyme conjugate,and then add the substrate or chromogen to the wells for incubation.The bounded enzyme conjugate will change the chromogen color.And finally add terminator and use a suitable wavelength to measure the absorption.(2)Application of ELSIA in the detection of bacterial pathogens in aquicultureThe common bacterial pathogens in aquiculture are Vibrio and Aeromonas hydrophila.The detection rate of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in the liver of Preudosciaena crocea could reach 70% using ELSIA technology.The technical analysis of monoclonal antibody of Aeromonas hydrophila has also developed quickly.ELSIA analysis of monoclonal antibody cell strains of the anti-Aeromonas hydrophila provides a rapid and accurate way to diagnose Aeromonas hydrophila in fish.(3)Application of ELSIA in the detection of viral pathogens in aquicultureIn late 1990s,ELISA was already used to determine the toxicity of grass carp haemorrhagic virus(GCHV),it only took 30 min to find the antigen in the unpurified venom successfully.Several years later,ability tests between dot-ELISA and SPA-CoA showed that sensitivity of dot-ELISA was 10 times higher than that of SPA-CoA.ELISA detection of viral pathogens of shrimps mainly involves baculovirus and white spot syndrome virus(WSSV).Sensitivity of baculovirus detection in Penaeus chinensis was up to 60 nanogram and the positive rate of WSSV in the same pool was up to 61.8%.In order to verify the specificity of ELSIA,cross-disturbing test was made between health Pelodiscus sinesis and the control group in tissue solution,cell culture fluid and extract fluid,and viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus(VHSV) and carp pox virus(CPV) in the reaction system.The results show that VHSV,CPV and tissue solution of health Pelodiscus sinesis all presented a negative reaction to the viral antibody,while tissue solution,cell culture fluid and extract fluid of control group presented positive to virus antibody,which confirmed good specificity of ELSIA.(4)Application of ELSIA in the detection of marine biological toxinRapid,accurate and easy to operate is the basic requirements for ELISA detection of marine biological toxin.In early 1990,Japan developed a competitive ELISA method to analysis Okadaic acid,the main components of Diarrhetic shellfish toxin(DSP).In the following years,ELSIA method was established in USA and German using anti-saxtoxin and anti-neo-saxtoxin polyclonal antibody technology. STX and neo-STX could be detected simultaneously and the sensitivity was 40 μg per hundred grams.Though developments have been made in the marine biological toxin detection,some problems such as antibody cross-reaction,shortage of toxin standards still remain to be solved.
Usefulness of a New Immunochromatographic Assay Using Fluorescent Silica Nanoparticles for Serodiagnosis of Thai Patients with Amebiasis.

Abstract:A fluorescence immunochromatography (FIC) kit was developed recently using fluorescent silica nanoparticles coated with a recombinant C-terminal fragment of the surface lectin intermediate subunit (C-Igl) of Entamoeba histolytica to establish rapid serodiagnosis of amebiasis. We further evaluated the system using serum samples from 52 Thai patients with amebiasis. Of the patients, 50 (96%) tested positive using FIC. The samples were also tested using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with C-Igl as the antigen. Two samples were negative on ELISA but positive on FIC. The correlation coefficient between the fluorescence intensity using FIC and the optical density value using ELISA was 0.5390, indicating a moderate correlation between the two tests. Serum samples from 20 patients with malaria and 22 patients with Clostridioides difficile infection were also tested using FIC. The false-positive rates were 4/20 (20%) and 1/22 (4%) in patients with malaria and C. difficile infection, respectively. Combining the data from the present study with our previous study, the sensitivity and specificity of FIC were determined to be 98.5% and 95.2%, respectively. The results of the 50 samples were studied using a fluorescence scope and a fluorescence intensity reader, and the findings were compared. Disagreements were found in only two samples showing near-borderline fluorescence intensity, indicating that the use of scope was adequate for judging the results. These results demonstrate that FIC is a simple and rapid test for the serodiagnosis of amebiasis.
A comparison of IHA and ELISA tests in the detection of antibodies to entamoeba histolytica.

Abstract:In this report we have evaluated the sensitivity and specificity of IHA and ELISA for the detection of anti-amebic antibodies in the serum samples of 147 patients with poor mental and hygienic status hospitalized in mental institutions. Our data have demonstrated a positive agreement between ELISA and IHA on positive sera. The major drawback of IHA is the occurrence of false negative results, 13/82 sera negative in IHA (less than 1/128) are positive in the ELISA. Furthermore, the ELISA is useful for serological diagnosis of amebiasis in the laboratories of low endemic areas.

Abstract:A microfluidic device was successfully fabricated for the rapid serodiagnosis of amebiasis. A micro bead-based immunoassay was fabricated within integrated microfluidic chip to detect the antibody to Entamoeba histolytica in serum samples. In this assay, a recombinant fragment of C terminus of intermediate subunit of galactose and N-acetyl-D-galactosamine-inhibitable lectin of Entamoeba histolytica (C-Igl, aa 603-1088) has been utilized instead of the crude antigen. This device was validated with serum samples from patients with amebiasis and showed great sensitivity. The serodiagnosis can be completed within 20 min with 2 μl sample consumption. The device can be applied for the rapid and cheap diagnosis of other infectious disease, especially for the developing countries with very limited medical facilities.

Abstract:Objective To explore the values of detecting anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae antibody (ASCA) IgA,ASCA IgG,anti laminaribioside carbohydrate antibody (ALCA),anti-chitobioside carbohydrate antibody (ACCA) and anti mannobioside carbohydrate antibody (AMCA) and antibody against outer membrane porin C of Escherichia coli (anti-OmpC) in the diagnosis of Crohn's disease (CD).Methods From October 10th 2012 to January 24th 2013,63 patients diagnosed as CD were selected.At the same period 30 patients diagnosed as ulcerative colitis (UC) were set as disease control group and 25 individuals without abnormal findings under endoscope and imaging examination were set as healthy control group.Fasting blood of all the subjects were drawn in the morning and serum was isolated after centrifuge.The level of ASCA IgG,ALCA,AMCA,ACCA,ASCA IgA,anti OmpC and I2 was detected by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.The sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of each antibody were calculated and its value in the diagnosis was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.Results In the differential diagnosis of CD and UC by single antibody test,the accuracy of AMCA was the highest and the area under ROC curve was 0.739.In the screening of CD with single antibody examination,the diagnosis accuracy of I2 antibody was the highest and the area under ROC curve was 0.751.In multi antibodies joint examination,the accuracy of either ASCA IgA or AMCA positive was the highest in the differential diagnosis of CD and UC,also in the screening of CD and the area under ROC curve was 0.612 and 0.633,respectively.Conclusion In clinical practice,CD screening and the differential diagnosis of CD and UC may be achieved through detecting AMCA,ASCA IgA and I2 antibody.
Serodiagnosis of Schistosoma Mansoni Infections in an Endemic Area of Burkina Faso: Performance of Several Immunological Tests with Different Parasite Antigens.

Abstract:The performance of indirect haemagglutination assays (IHA), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and indirect immunofluorescent antibody tests (IFAT) were compared with 450 sera from a Schistosoma mansoni-endemic area in Burkina Faso. All participants in this survey provided at least one sample each of stool, urine and serum. From those with an egg-negative Kato–Katz thick smear, a second stool sample was examined. IHA was based on either extracts of adult S. mansoni worms (SmIHA) or S. japonicum egg antigen (SjIHA). For ELISA, three antigen preparations were used, namely: (i) soluble S. mansoni adult worm antigens (SWAP); (ii) soluble S. mansoni egg antigens (SEA); and (iii) a cationic exchange fraction of S. mansoni eggs (CEF6). IFAT was performed with S. mansoni male worm sections. Among the egg-excretors, the sensitivity of ELISA was high and egg antigens performed slightly better (SEA, 96%; CEF6, 97%) than worm antigen (94%). Sensitivity of IHA was satisfactory with homologous (Sm, >85%), but not heterologous (Sj, 56%) parasite antigen. In IFAT, the parenchyma-associated fluorescence showed high sensitivity (95%), but gut-associated fluorescence, which is known to be a sensitive diagnostic marker for schistosome-infected European travelers, was observed only in 76% of a sub-sample of 100 of the endemic sera. Among sera from egg-negative individuals, many gave positive reactions in several or all of the tests employed. These reactions (formally “false positive”) are considered to represent true infections, since chemotherapy had not yet been delivered to this population. For the purpose of further surveys in Burkina Faso or other resource-poor settings, we suggest IHA as an accurate diagnostic test and propose to further improve its performance by including egg rather than worm antigens.
Development of a Sensitive Immunochromatographic Kit Using Fluorescent Silica Nanoparticles for Rapid Serodiagnosis of Amebiasis.

Abstract:We have previously shown that the C-terminal region of the intermediate subunit of Entamoeba histolytica galactose- and N-acetyl-D-galactosamine-inhibitable lectin (C-Igl) is a useful antigen for serodiagnosis of amebiasis. An immunochromatographic kit was developed using fluorescent silica nanoparticles coated with C-Igl prepared in Escherichia coli. Samples for examination were added to the freeze-dried particles and then applied to the immunochromatographic device, in which a test line on the membrane was also coated with C-Igl. Fluorescent intensity was measured using a hand-held reader. In an evaluation of the kit using a human monoclonal antibody, the minimum amount of C-Igl specific antibody showing positive results was 100 pg. In the evaluation of serum samples with different antibody titers in indirect immunofluorescent antibody tests in the kit, 20 µL of serum was sufficient to obtain positive results at 30 min. Serum samples from symptomatic patients with amebic colitis and amebic liver abscess and those from asymptomatic E. histolytica-cyst carriers showed positive results in the kit. Based on evaluation using sera from healthy controls and patients with other infectious diseases, the sensitivity and specificity of the kit were 100 and 97.6%, respectively. Therefore, we conclude that the newly developed kit is useful for rapid serodiagnosis of amebiasis.
Development of a Dot Immunogold Filtration Assay for Cysticercosis

Abstract:Based on the affinity chromatography,a new dot immunogold filtration assay(DIGFA) was established to detect serum antibody to Cysticercus of Taenia solium.Cyst fluid after dialysis was used as diagnostic antigen,and the colloid gold conjugated with cysticercosis antigen as the detecting probe.The optimum pH of the coating antigen was 7.5,the optimum Ag concentration was 52 mg/mL,and the optimal dilution of detected serum was 1∶10.The high specificity of the method was confirmed by detecting the sera of healthy pigs and the pigs suffered from other disease.It suggested that the method is very simple,specific and rapid,and very useful for clinical diagnosis and epidemiological survey of cysticercosis.
Effectiveness of an Indirect Hemagglutination Assay Kit at Diagnosing Schistosomiasis in the Field

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of an indirect hemagglutination assay kit at diagnosing schistosomiasis in the field. Methods Stool specimens from residents 6-65years of age in 7villages with schistosomiasis outbreaks in 3 regions of Anhui Province were examined using the Kato-Katz technique(3thick smears)and the miracidium hatching test(ova are collected in a nylon bag,suspended in water,and allowed to hatch).An indirect hemagglutination assay(IHA)was carried out in parallel and then compared to a dipstick dye immunoassay(DDIA)and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Results Two types of stool examinations and 3 methods of immunological diagnosis were used to test samples from 3 004 individuals.Results of the IHA were positive at a rate of 40.81%,DDIA results were positive at a rate of 59.79%,and ELISA results were positive at a rate of 59.25%.These rates were all higher than the rate indicated by a stool examination(2.46%)(P0.05).With a stool examination serving as a gold standard,the IHA yielded the best results with a specificity of 60.48%,a Youden's index of 52.37%,a rate of concordance of 61.25%,and apositive predictive value of 5.55%.The IHA had a sensitivity of 91.89% and negative predictive value of 99.66%,and both of these numbers fell between the sensitivity and negative predictive value of DDIA and ELISA.The IHA agreed with DDIA at a rate of 65.25% and with ELISA at a rate of 69.91%;differences in the rate of concordance were statistically significant(P0.05).For stool specimens that tested positive,the IHA agreed with DDIA at a rate of 90.54%and with ELISA at a rate of 90.54%.There were no significant differences in the rate of concordance(P0.05). Conclusion An indirect hemagglutination assay kit to diagnose schistosomiasis can be used to screen individuals in areas where schistosomiasis is prevalent,but its specificity needs to be improved further.

Abstract:Timely and accurate diagnosis of pathogens plays important role in the controlling of infectious respiratory diseases.Serum detection of specific antibodies against pathogens could indirectly determine the infection and immune status.Serodiagnosis includes enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,indirect immunofluorescence assay,hemagglutination inhibition test,neutralization test and others.Studies showed that indirect immunofluorescence assay had its technique advantages and diagnostic value.Combining with other methods,immunofluorescence assay would offer objective and comprehensive etiological results for clinical practice.

Abstract:Serum antibody of schistosomiasis patients was detected by dot immunogold filtration method (DIGFA) in laboratory and field, and F-ELISA was used as control. The results showed that there was no significant difference between these two assays in sensitivity and specificity (P > 0.05), with a high coincidence. DIGFA is easy to operate and may deserve a wide application in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis.

Abstract:Objective To preliminarily evaluate an indirect hemagglutination(IHA) assay kit for early di?agnosis of schistosomiasis japonica. Methods Rabbit models were infected with Schistosoma japonicum. The sera were collected from infected and non-infected rabbits on week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively, after infection, and subjected to detection using IHA assay kit and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) based on the antigen X (X-ELISA). Then the two methods were compared regarding the outcomes in early diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica. Results IHA assay kit revealed 0% positive serum from non-infected rabbits and from infected rabbits in the 1st and 2nd week after infection and 100% positive results from the 3rd week after infec?tion. Contrarily, X-ELISA indicated false positive rate of 30.77%in the sera of non-infected rabbits, and 0%and 16.67% positive results in the 1st and 2nd week after infection, and 100% positive results by the 3rd week. The difference was not significant regarding the positive rate measures at the same time point by two tech?niques(P>0.05). Conclusion IHA assay kit has potential value in early diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica.
Evaluation of Recombinant Fragments of Entamoeba Histolytica Gal/Galnac Lectin Intermediate Subunit for Serodiagnosis of Amebiasis

Abstract:ABSTRACT We have recently identified a 150-kDa surface antigen of Entamoeba histolytica as an intermediate subunit (Igl) of galactose- and N-acetyl-d-galactosamine-inhibitable lectin, which is a cysteine-rich protein consisting of 1,101 amino acids (aa) and containing multiple CXXC motifs in amino acid sequences. In the present study, full-length Igl except for the signal sequences (aa 14 to 1088) and three fragments of Igl—the N-terminal part (aa 14 to 382), the middle part (aa 294 to 753), and the C-terminal part (aa 603 to 1088)—were prepared in Escherichia coli, and the reactivity of these recombinant proteins with sera from patients with amebiasis was examined by means of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sera from 57 symptomatic patients with amebic liver abscess or amebic colitis, sera from 15 asymptomatic cyst passers, sera from 40 individuals with other protozoan infections, and sera from 50 healthy controls were used. The sensitivity and specificity of the recombinant full-length Igl in the ELISA were 90 and 94%, respectively. When three fragments were used as antigens in the ELISA, the sensitivities were 56% in the N terminus, 92% in the middle part, and 97% in the C terminus. The specificities of the three antigens were 96% in the N terminus and 99% in both the middle and C-terminal fragments. These results demonstrate that Igl is well recognized in not only symptomatic but also asymptomatic patients with E. histolytica infection and that the carboxyl terminus of Igl is an especially useful antigen for the serodiagnosis of amebiasis.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Appropriate diagnostics to monitor disease trends and assess the effectiveness and impact of interventions are essential for guiding treatment strategies at different thresholds of schistosomiasis transmission and for certifying elimination. Field validation of these assays is urgently needed before they can be adopted to support policy decisions of the national programme for control and elimination of schistosomiasis in P.R. China. We compared the efficacy and utility of different immunoassays in guiding control strategies and monitoring the endemic status of S. japonicum infections towards elimination. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in seven villages with different transmission intensities settings to assess the performance and utility of three immunoassays, e.g., an indirect hemagglutination assay (IHA_JX), an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA_SZ), and a dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA_SH). 6,248 individuals aged 6-65 years old who gave consent and supplied their stool and blood samples were included for data analysis. Results showed that ELISA_SZ performed significantly higher sensitivity (95.45%, 95%CI: 92.94-97.97%) than IHA_JX (87.59%, 95%CI: 83.51-91.49%) and DIGFA_SH (79.55%, 95%CI: 74.68-84.41%), especially in subgroups with very low infection intensity. The specificity of ELISA_SZ, IHA_JX, DIGFA_SH in 6-9 year olds with occasional exposure was nearly 90%. DIGFA_SH performed the highest screening efficacy for patients among three assays with overall positive predicative value of 13.07% (95%CI: 11.42-14.72%). We found a positive correlation of antibody positive rate of IHA_JX with results of stool examination in age strata (r = 0.70, P<0.001). Seropositivity of IHA_JX in children aged 6-9 years old showed an excellent correlation with prevalence of schistosome infection in the seven communities (r = 0.77, P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS/SIGNIFICANCE: Studies suggest that ELISA_SZ could be used to guide selective chemotherapy in moderate or low endemic regions. IHA_JX could be used to as a surveillance tool and for certifying elimination of schistosomiasis through monitoring children as a sentinel population.
The Study on Early Diagnosis of Invasive Aspergillosis by the Use of ELISA Assay and Nest PCR

Abstract:Objective To develop a new specie-specific nest PCR to diagnose the invasive aspergillosis and to estimate the detection of circulating galactomannan by sandwich ELISA in immunocompromised patients. Methods (1) To develop an animal model of IA and collect the whole blood and tissues from the animal model. To extract the DNA from the whole blood and perform nest PCR of the DNA ;To perform the nest PCR of the clinical blood samples from immunocompromised patients (2)To detect the circulating galactomannan from the immunocompromised patients samples by use of sandwich ELISA. Results (1) In animal model, the positive rate of nest PCR and blood culture were 77.8% and 16.7%;The sensitivity and specificity of nest PCR in animal model with invasive aspergillosis are 77.8% and 100%;(2) The sensitivity and specificity of nest PCR in immunocompromised patient were 100% and 83.3%;The sensitivity and specificity of sandwich ELISA in immunocompromised patient were 55.6% and 88.2%. Conclusions The positive rate of the nest PCR was higher than that of the blood culture in animal model. The nest PCR method has good sensitivity and specificity in both animal model and patients. It will be a promising method in diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis. The ELISA method will be helpful in diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis.

Abstract:The dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) is a rapid technique for the detection of anti-Schistosoma japonicum antibody. Its sensitivity with regard to sera obtained from patients with acute or chronic schistosomiasis was shown to be 100 and 96.9%, respectively. The specificity when using sera of people living in an area non-endemic for schistosomiasis japonica was 100%. Cross-reaction rates for paragonimiasis and clonorchiasis patients were 14.3% and 0%, respectively. Parallel serum tests of 1091 residents from an area endemic for S. japonicum by means of DIGFA, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and indirect haemagglutination test resulted in positive rates of 9.3%, 11.5% and 11.0%, respectively. Thus, there was a high level of agreement between the sets of results (P>0.05). In conclusion, DIGFA holds considerable promise for rapid and accurate diagnosis of S. japonicum, as it does not require any specific instruments and can be applied with ease. DIGFA has therefore several advantages over conventional diagnostic approaches and is useful not only for screening and sero-epidemiological surveys in the field, but also in clinical settings.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical diagnostic efficiency of Indirect Hemagglutination Assay Kit (IHA kit) for antibody detection of schistosomiasis japonica. METHODS Schistosomiasis examinations by parasitological method were conducted in the schistosomiasis endemic areas in Jiangxi, Anhui and Hubei provinces, respectively. A total of 371 serum samples of schistosomiasis patients and 761 serum samples of non-patients without history of schistosome infection and infested water contact were collected. All the sera were detected by using IHA Kit. The diagnostic efficiency indicators of the kit, including sensitivity, specificity, positive predicted value, negative predicted value etc. were calculated. RESULTS The sensitivity and specificity of the kit were 95.1% (95% confidence interval was between 92.9% and 97.3%) and 97.8% (95% confidence interval was between 96.8% and 98.8%), respectively; the positive and negative predicted values were 95.4% and 97.6%, respectively. No statistically significant difference was found in the prevalence of IHA positive detecting by the kit among the groups with different EPG levels (< or = 40, 41-100, > 100). Also, no significant difference was observed in sensitivity and specificity among the different age groups. CONCLUSIONS The IHA kit shows a relative high efficiency for diagnosis and can be used for mass screening of schistosomiasis in field sites.

Abstract:Serology detection is recognized for its sensitivity in convalescent patients with COVID-19, in comparison with nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs). This article aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of serologic methods for COVID-19 based on assay design and post-symptom-onset intervals. Two authors independently searched PubMed, Cochrane library, Ovid, EBSCO for case-control, longitudinal and cohort studies that determined the diagnostic accuracy of serology tests in comparison with NAATs in COVID-19 cases and used QUADAS-2 for quality assessment. Pooled accuracy was analysed using INLA method. A total of 27 studies were included in this meta-analysis, with 4 cohort, 16 case-control and 7 longitudinal studies and 4565 participants. Serology tests had the lowest sensitivity at 0-7 days after symptom onset and the highest at >14 days. TAB had a better sensitivity than IgG or IgM only. Using combined nucleocapsid (N) and spike(S) protein had a better sensitivity compared to N or S protein only. Lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) had a lower sensitivity than enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) and chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA). Serology tests will play an important role in the clinical diagnosis for later stage COVID-19 patients. ELISA tests, detecting TAB or targeting combined N and S proteins had a higher diagnostic sensitivity compared to other methods.
