Abstract:By defining a partial ordering relation on vague domain of unit interval, a definition of vague sets on a lattice V(I) is given in this paper. Applying the classical extension principle, the corresponding vague logical operators defined on V(I), are constructed with fuzzy logical operators on unit interval. The representations for a general model of vague rough approximation in a vague approximation space, as well as rough vague sets a transitional form from rough sets to vague rough sets, are presented via introduction of vague logical operations. Some basic properties of vague rough sets are discussed in this context.

Abstract:By defining a partial ordering relation on the Vague domain of unit interval I,a definition of Vague sets on a lattice V(I) was given.Applying the classic extension principle,the corresponding Vague logical operators defined on V(I) were constructed with continuous fuzzy triangular norms, negator and continuous fuzzy implicators.The representations of the generalized intersection/union,complementary operation and implications on Vague sets were introduced in the context.Some basic properties of Vague logical operations were summarized.It enriches the conceptual framework of Vague sets,and will enlarge its applications on such fields as logic,linguistic and inference,as well as the information representation and processing.

Abstract:By the definition of Vague values——the elements in the closed subinterval set of the unit interval [0,1],some new definitions of binary Vague relations,operations of relations,inverse relations,compositional operations and λ-cut relations are introduced.In terms of the concept of ordering relations of interval numbers based on probability,as well as the practical sense of vote models of Vague sets,the definition of a partial ordering relation of Vague values in the closed subinterval set is given,with which we provide the necessary proofs of some primary properties of Vague relations.The definitions of Vague similarity relations with sup-min transitivity and Vague partitions are given,and a one-to-one correspondence between Vague similarity relations and Vague partitions is established.Furthermore,by means of the generalized"and"logic operator based on the continuous triangle norm on unit interval,the new concepts of the particular case of Vague similarity relations——Vague T-similarity relations with T- transitivity and Vague T-partitions are introduced.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the definition of groupoid graded rings. Group graded rings, (skew) groupoid rings, artinian semisimple rings, matrix rings and others can be regarded as special kinds of groupoid graded rings. Our main task is to classify strongly groupoid graded rings by cohomology of groupoids. Some classical results about group graded rings are generalized to groupoid graded rings. In particular, the Clifford Theorem for a strongly groupoid graded ring is given.

Abstract:We construct rings of typed ordered fuzzy numbers whose component functions are of a common form. As this ring also contains improper fuzzy numbers (OFNs whose membership "functions" are actually just relations), we develop a set of operations to convert an improper fuzzy number to a proper one of the same type.

Abstract:As a generalisation of the Fuzzy Sets theory, vague set has been proven to be a new tool in dealing with vague information. In this article, we attempt to generalise the techniques of fuzzy inference in a vague environment. In the rule-based inference system, an ‘if ... then ...’ rule can be considered a transformer that implements information conversion between input–output ends. Thus, according to the logical operations of vague linguistic variables, we introduce an approach to approximation inference based on linear transformation, and then discuss the representations for several inference structures regarding single rule, multi-rules and compound rules. By defining the inclusion function of vague sets, we provide vague rough approximation based on measure of inclusion, and then present a method on rule creation from a decision system. A case study on the prediction for welding deformation is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

Abstract:Both covering-based rough sets and vague sets are the mathematical tools to deal with the uncertainty information.The former is the extension of the rough set theory and the latter of the fuzzy sets.Computing the lower and the upper approximations with the existing covering-based rough set models,some elements,which are actually not sure whether they completely belong to the given set,may be put into the lower approximation.Similarly,some elements,which maybe belong to the given set,are excluded from the upper approximation.By analyzing carefully the relationship between the element of the universe and the covering-elements,a covering vague set was established.This covering vague set can reflect the degree of membership of every element of universe to the given set from a new viewpoint.Furthermore,some relationships between the covering vague set and some important concepts of covering-based rough sets were studied.Finally,the properties of a covering vague set that when a covering coincides with a partition were discussed.

An $R$-module $M$ is said to be almost projective if ${\rm Ext}^1_R(M, N) = 0$ for any $R_{\mathfrak{m}}$-module $N$ and any maximal ideal $\mathfrak{m}$ of $R$. In this paper, we investigate rings $R$ over which every $R$-module has an almost projective envelope. We also characterize rings $R$ over which every $R$-module has an almost projective envelope with some special properties.

Abstract:Rough model is proposed to model vague geographic objects based on the definition of rough regions, lower approximation regions, upper approximation regions and boundary regions. With the combination of rough model and RCC-D-8, which is a discrete version of RCC extended into two-dimensional discrete space (ℤ2), 599 topological relations are got between simple vague geographic objects in raster regions described by intersection and containing matrix.

Abstract:A ring R is called generalized Abelian if for each idempotent e in R, eR and (1- e)R have no isomorphic nonzero summands. The class of generalized Abelian rings properly contains the class of Abelian rings. We denote by GAERS - 1 the class of generalized Abelian exchange rings with stable range 1. In this article we prove, by introducing Boolean algebras, that for any R epsilon GAERS - 1, the Grothendieck group K-0(R) is always an Archimedean lattice-ordered group, and hence is torsion free and unperforated, which generalizes the corresponding results of Abelian exchange rings. Our main technical tool is the use of the ordered structure of K-0(R)(+), which provides a new method in the study of Grothendieck groups.

Abstract:Rough model is proposed to build vague regions based on rough sets theory after the definition of rough regions, lower approximation regions, upper approximation regions and boundary regions is given. Then the constraints of lower and upper approximate regions are studied to minimize the research scope. With the combination of rough model and RCC-D-5, 73 topological relations are got between simple vague regions in raster regions and described by the 4×4 intersection and inclusion matrix.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that R is a two-sided Artinian ring and J is a right annihilator ideal if and only if (i) for any nonzero right module, there is a nonzero linear map from it to a projective module; (ii) every submodule of R R is not a radical module for some right coherent rings. We call a ring a right X ring if Hom R ( M, R ) = 0 for any right module M implies that M = 0. We can prove some left Goldie and right X rings are right Artinian rings. Moreover we characterize semisimple rings by using X rings. A famous Faith’s conjecture is whether a semipimary PF ring is a QF ring. Similarly we study the relationship between X rings and QF and get many interesting results.

Abstract:In this paper,the properties of Id(Q) are discussed.A condition that every ideal of a quantale Q is semiprime ideal is given,if the quantale Q is commutative.The concept of ideal extension is introduced.We get that some propositions concerning ordered semigroup still hold for ideal extension in a quantale.A quantic congruence is constructed by the ideal extension.The quantic quotient induced by the congruence is frame and its concrete structure is found,if the original ideal is prime ideal.

Abstract:The concept of group-graded weakly regular ring is introduced.On this basis,it is proved that:(1)If G is a group,J is a graded ideal of K,J_σ=K_σ∩J,then K is a group-graded weakly regular ring if and only if J and K/J are group-graded weakly regular rings;(2)If K is a ring,n is a positive integer,then K is a group-graded weakly regular ring if and only if M_n(K) is a group-graded weakly regular ring.If K is a group-graded weakly regular ring,then K_e is a subring of K,and 1∈K_e(e is the unit of group).Some relations are given on group-graded weakly regular ring K and K_e.Next,the concept of graded semiflat module is introduced and proved that K is a group-graded weakly regular ring if and only if all right K-module is graded semiflat module.Group-graded weakly regular rings are the generalization of group-graded regular rings,so the result of group-graded regular rings are similiar.
