Abstract:Aimed at some drawbacks of the theatre construction wave,the key to the problem was found out by means of post-evaluation.An appeal to the use of post-evaluation serves as theatre building program so as to set up the testing frame for post-evaluation and even to establish related inspection organization.

Abstract:The international organization's concept of performance evaluation designing for agricultural building project is the result-oriented,which can ensure the unity of the project's monitoring and evaluating,bear logical relation and is better for analyzing the factors for realizing the goals.But the internal performance evaluation index system of the government usually checks and controls the projects but lacks of integrity and unity.It falls short of performance evaluation.So we need progressively complete the correlative institution and methods in practice and build the Chinese performance evaluation designing for agricultural building project.

Abstract:We introduced the evaluation of built environment course into the architecture design education for juniors.Students took campus buildings as the evaluation subjects,determined evaluation content by their day-to-day experience,and obtained objective data and forms through questionnaires and interviews,which represented thoughts and responses of users in the constructed environment.Based on the evaluation,we further discussed on the relation between the design intention and the usage effect of constructed environment to train students' abilities of comprehensively understanding architecture designs,and finding and solving problems.

Abstract:This paper makes an effective exploration on the POE in domestic.Especially on the POE of Qianjiang New District Riverside Pedestrian System,the author made assessments based on the operation effect feedback through questionnaires,field investigation,research,pho tograph and etc.The author focused on the site characteristics,user characteristics and indepth study of the facilities comfort on the space form environmental characteristics and environ ment facilities on infrastructure and environment decoration.Based on analysis results,the author f urther explored the user preferences and related issues of city balcony.Moreover,the author then put forward some useful conclusion and strategies to improve the city riverside pedestrian area based on the feedback of operation Effectiveness.

Abstract:While the concept of Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is widely applied in landscape architecture and other relevant fields, the term POE is not well-defined. By reviewing and analysing a representative set of POE definitions collected from existing academic and grey literature using content analysis methods, this study aims to enhance understanding of the breadth of the concept and its relevant practices. Our research found that the concept of POE was developed in architecture in the 1970s and subsequently adopted in landscape architecture in the 1980s. With the growth of the field in architecture and its adaptation to landscape architecture, the scope of POE was significantly expanded over recent decades, and with this growth, there have been considerable divergences in definitions and understandings of how to carry out POE. A range of different evaluation objects and four evaluation models were identified by this study. By surveying the conceptual terrain of POE, our research establishes the need for practitioners to be aware of the breadth of the concept and the potential ambiguity surrounding what is meant by the approach. Consequently, practitioners need to be specific and explicit about their understanding of POE. The findings also demonstrate how interdisciplinary differences appear to have been overlooked when adapting POE from one discipline to another. We, therefore, argue that it is crucial to keep shaping and trimming the concept to support the adaption of POE processes into different disciplinary domains.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the POE method in the application of parks,and uses this method to investigate the usage status of Tanghe Park in Qinhuangdao.By observing the activities of park users, interviewing the users and administrators,and extending sampling questionnaires,the usage status of Tanghe Park was acquired.After sorting out and analyzing the data,the paper affirms the design of the park,and meanwhile,provides some improvement measures.Finally,the paper summarizes the positive effects of the POE method,including reflecting the user's needs objectively,evaluating the effect of design,strengthening the link between urban construction and design education.

Abstract:The doors and windows are not only an important part of architecture, but also as "frame" and "canvas" to show the beautiful landscape. Through a combination of the painting, it formed enframed scenery, expanded the building's art space, and enhanced the aesthetic value. We analyze and summarize distinctive technique and special aesthetics flavors of the painting, it’s influence on enframed scenery design for windows and doors modeling, subject, content, scene configuration and the spatial processing. By studying the relationship between the two, we hope to find the painting culture enlightenment to modern enframed scenery design.

Abstract:At the early age, the microstructure formation of concrete is very sensitive to the environmental conditions. A slight variation of temperature and humidity at early age will have significant influence on the macro properties of mature concrete. So the long-term service performance of concrete structure is highly related with the environmental conditions during construction. And at the same time, for concrete, the whole construction procedure, such as casting, form removal, and curing, can be also taken as a series of changes of environmental conditions and loads. As environmental conditions and construction procedure are all time dependent, so the construction will influence the service performance of concrete structure dynamically. Although the environmental conditions during construction can not be changed, while the construction procedure can be optimized accordingly to adapt to the varying environmental conditions to improve the service performance of concrete structure. As a result, a quantitative analysis and optimization on concrete structure construction will have extensive impact on civil engineering. In this research, a new method was proposed to design and optimize the construction procedure of concrete structure. Through a monitoring system, the early-age temperature and humidity during the construction process, inside and outside the concrete structure, were recorded. In considering the influence of construction procedure on the service performance of concrete structure, the casting, form removal, and curing were all quantified as the time-dependant environmental parameters applied on concrete structure. Based on the hydration theory of cementitous materials, the long-term service performance of concrete structure was evaluated and predicted. Then the influence of construction program on the service performance of concrete structure was analyzed utilizing this evaluation system, and fed back to optimize the construction procedure. And an engineering project was also provided to verify the application value of the method.

Abstract:To improve buildings and their characteristics, the feedback provided directly by users is generally fundamental in order to be able to adapt the technical and structural functions to the well-being of users. The post-occupancy evaluation (POE) fits perfectly into this context. The POE, through qualitative and quantitative information on the interior environment, makes it possible to identify the differences between the performances modeled in the design phase and the real performances experienced by the occupants. This review of 234 articles, published between 2006 and 2022, aims to analyze and compare the recent literature on the application of the POE methodology. The aim was to provide both a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the main factors that comprise the indoor environmental quality (IEQ). The study highlighted the factors that comprise the quality of the indoor environment, as well as the variables that are usually analyzed to describe the well-being of the occupants. The results suggested which are the most common approaches in carrying out POE studies and will identify the factors that most influence the determination of the good quality of an indoor environment.

Abstract:The post-occupancy evaluation process is pivotal for assessing the performance of indoor and outdoor living environments after occupation. This evaluation involves a multifaceted analysis, encompassing energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, outdoor spaces, and occupant satisfaction. Despite the inherent advantages and potential applicability of post-occupancy evaluation in residential buildings, the lack of uniformity in research methodologies, data collection techniques, investigative approaches, and result interpretation has impeded cross-comparisons and method replication. In a concerted effort to enhance the understanding of prevailing post-occupancy evaluation methodologies, this study undertook a comprehensive systematic literature review of post-occupancy evaluation practices within the residential domain from 2000 to 2023. The results unequivocally underscored the pervasive lack of consistency in methodological applications, tool deployment, and data reporting across diverse post-occupancy evaluation investigations. The objectives of this review aimed to examine the existing post-occupancy evaluation (POE) methods, assess occupant-centric thermal comfort, evaluate the impact of POE feedback on building design, and develop recommendations for architects, engineers, facility managers, and policymakers on leveraging POE feedback to enhance thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings. This study offers critical insights into advocating for a more standardized and cohesive post-occupancy evaluation approach. The findings of this review can direct the establishment of a coherent and consistently implemented post-occupancy evaluation framework within the realm of residential architecture.

Abstract:<p>Traditional Chinese performance buildings and performing arts are different from those in the west. However, sound quality evaluation factors for western halls have been used in traditional Chinese performance buildings for a long time. In this study, grounded theory was used to establish a sound quality evaluation system for traditional Chinese performance buildings. The subjective evaluation system for a traditional Chinese performance building was divided into the following six aspects: loudness dominant (loudness, definition, loudness balance, stage support (overall), and spaciousness); frequency dominant (brightness and fullness); reflected sound dominant (crispness, richness, harshness, and fusion); direction dominant (envelopment and directivity); quietness; and cultural cognition. The evaluation dimensions of western and traditional Chinese performance buildings were compared. In the Chinese evaluation system, the preference for loudness and brightness was higher than that in the western system. Moreover, crispness, harshness, and cultural cognition were not common in the western evaluation system, whereas envelopment and directivity were rarely mentioned in traditional Chinese evaluation system. Finally, the reasons for the differences between the two evaluation systems were analysed according to the architectural form, performance content, and culture. Envelopment, directivity, and quietness were found to be related to the differences in the architectural form and structure. The preference for brightness, crispness, and definition may be related to the form of performance. The 'competitiveness' and 'renao' (jollification) in traditional Chinese opera performances, as well as aesthetic pursuits had significant effects on the cultural differences.</p>

Abstract:Acoustic design is the most important work to carry out the function of a multi-purpose theater, which determines the quality of the theater sound performance. The factors impacting on the performance includes the size and the shape of the audience hall, the ideal value of the acoustic design, the computer simulation accuracy of the sound field, and the depth of the decoration design scheme and the systematic POE analysis of the quality of the audience hal. This paper introduced the design process of the multi-purpose theater in Zhejiang blue-sky culture Film and Television Center, and explicated the inspiration of the acoustic design in theater building and the improvements.
Quality Evaluation Approach for Prefabricated Buildings Using Ant Colony Algorithm and Simulated Annealing Algorithm to Optimize the Projection Pursuit Model

Abstract:There are problems with an inadequate quality assurance system and non-standard construction organization and administration while creating prefabricated buildings. There are currently fewer quality assessments employing prefabricated component combinations as the research focus, and the quality evaluation methodology is more subjective. We propose a method for evaluating the quality of prefabricated buildings using an ant colony algorithm and a simulated annealing algorithm to optimize the projection pursuit model: firstly, create a prefabricated building quality index system; secondly, questionnaires were distributed, tested for reliability and validity to avoid the influence of questionnaire subjectivity on the results, and structural equation modeling was used to calculate the weights of the quality influencing factors; thirdly, quantify the quality factors of prefabricated components by using the quality function development method, and construct a quality optimization model for the prefabricated component combinations; fourthly, use the ant colony algorithm to solve the quality optimization model to obtain a set of prefabricated component combinations to satisfy the quality requirements; and lastly, use a simulated annealing to optimize the projected pursuit method for evaluating the quality of prefabricated component combination solutions. The results show that (1) The use of optimization algorithms can successfully avoid the issue of a more subjective evaluation approach and increase the efficiency and accuracy of evaluation. (2) Residential Comfort (RC), Usage Durability (UD) and Structural Reliability (SR) have a substantially negative association, but Residential Comfort (RC) and Installation Stability (IS) have strong positive correlations. (3) Based on the magnitude of the vector of the ideal projection direction of the quality indicators, it was determined that the Installation Stability (IS) indicator had the greatest influence on the evaluation of the program, and the Structural Reliability (SR) indicator had the least influence on the program.
