Abstract:The technique of G.M.D. (viz. integration of graph, model and database) is widely used in the power dispatching automation system. This technique makes graphics system and device models closely coupled with each other. Meanwhile, CIM (common information model) defines the information model of power equipment and has been accepted as an industrial standard. Therefore, it is one of the key topics of power dispatching automation system standardization in implementing a CIM-compliant graphics system. This paper attempts to develop a new EMS/DMS graphics system, which follows draft IEC standard 61970. Furthermore, the following problems are addressed: designing a CIM-based graphics system; proposing an open graphics model; developing a self-defined graphics modeling tool; enhancing the system expandability; realizing online topology generation; reducing the difficulty in system maintenance and expanding offline-planning modules in the real-time online EMS/DMS system.
