Abstract:Nowadays, more and more J2EE applications are deployed in distributed environment. Existing session management models are no longer competent in this context. In order to satisfy the demand on performance, scalability and reliability of session maintenance, this paper presents an improved HTTP session management model in distributed environment with a simplified heterogeneous front-end and a distributed cache based back-end. Theoretical analysis based on graph theory and probability theory is applied to both existing model and the improved model, which proves that the latter is much better in many aspects. A prototype session manager based on this model is implemented. The result of a performance benchmark upon a standard J2EE application shows its improvement.

Abstract:Compared with traditional Web applications,Rich Internet Application(RIA) is able to provide users with better interactivity and responsiveness.This paper introduces the application of RIA technique Flex in data dissemination system,which well resolves the intuitive display and real-time of data dissemination.Meanwhile,Flex implementation is compared with JSP implementation correspondingly.The data dissemination system based on Flex provides good user experience,and also bears good scalability and maintainability.

Abstract:This paper discusses how to manage the distributed multi-source isomeric database and share the information of different sources, and solves the distributed storage and retrieve of spatial data which is internet-based. By network connecting, it is realized how to manage the independent spatial database in network-wide and convert conventional c/s computing model into distributed computing model, so the problems of geo-information sharing and interoperable geo-data are successfully solved. As put forward and designed in this paper, the J2EE-based Distributed Spatial Database Management System (JDSDMS) is data-centered, and builds on the newest technology such as distributed database, WWW network and Web GIS. It is absolutely transparent of the local distributed module management, and can update the databases between different platforms through the transaction manager and distinguish various data source. The requirement of manage the distributed, multiple and isomeric city data is completed met.

Abstract:Many application partitioning methods have been proposed based on different functional modules in distributed environment to gain efficient use of resources, improved performance and high scalability. This paper introduces popular application partitioning architectures, and presents a different partitioning method and an on-line workload balance algorithm from a new perspective: runtime data, called data based application partitioning. This architecture benefits applications with higher performance, scalability and dynamic workload balancing. A financial trading system reengineered from J2EE standalone environment into data partitioning distributed environment gives a nice proof.

Abstract:ABSTRACTMany enterprise systems are developed in C++ language and most of them are standalone. Because the standalone software can not follow the new market environment, reengineering the standalone legacy systems into distributed environment becomes a critical problem. Some methods have been proposed on related topics such as design recovery, the identification of the component, modeling the interfaces of components and components allocation. Up to now, there does not exist a reengineering process for partition distributed environment, which will offer distinct advantages on horizontal scalability and performance over normal distributed solutions. This paper presents a new process to reengineer C++ legacy systems into the J2EE partition distributed environment. The process consists of four steps: translation from C++ to Java code; extraction of components using the cluster technology; modeling component interfaces and partition of the components in J2EE distribute environment. It has been applied to a large equity-trading legacy system which has proved to be successful.

Abstract:The computer applications of enterprises become deeper and wider with the developmentof the network. The conventional application architecture has not satisfied the need ofenterprises already. So J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) comes out. The architecture ofJ2EE and the advantage for using it to realize the enterprise application system arepresented in the paper. A networked modeling system based on J2EE has been developedin the paper. The key technologies and developing process of the system are discussed.The functions of the transforming from model to code and the analyzing of cost havedeveloped in this modeling system besides some conventional modeling functions whichinclude the management of users and models、the building of models、the simulationof models and so on.

Abstract:An Enterprise Application Integration system,named Enterprise Information Platform is designed and implemented in a J2EE environment to ensure data share across any operating system and network.Based on message mechanism,JMS is used to transfer message and XML is chosen to organize the format of communication data which can provide services and application programming interfaces to integrate heterogeneous data.This system has been successfully used in some enterprises,and its generality,openness,multiplexing and extensiveness have also been proved in practice.

Abstract:Application server is a chief platform of Web based application. J2EE (Java 2 platform, Enterprise Edition) is a standard of enterprise scale application server. In this paper J2EE is analyzed from the point of view of software architecture and Web based application development. Some defects of J2EE are pointed out, such as J2EE being unable to support version management and its having diverse concepts and notions due to its multi tier architecture. Furthermore, a light weight application server—JWebFrame is developed, which overcomes some problems of J2EE.

Abstract:Web services are usually encapsulated or implemented by components in the backend or legacy systems. Since many legacy systems are data-centric or data-intensive, their components have more or less data dependencies between each other. If such explicit or implicit data dependencies were ignored or not dealt with carefully, they would cause unexpected behaviors and even errors of Web services. In this paper, we propose a middleware-based approach to the detection and solution of interferences between Web services caused by data dependencies between backend components. With a demonstration on J2EE (Java 2 platform enterprise edition), this paper makes three contributions: Firstly, it investigates such an interference problem neglected by current research and practice with a real case of J2EE-enabled Web services. Secondly, it enhances a J2EE application server to automatically detect interferences between Web services caused by data dependencies among enterprise JavaBeans. Thirdly, it proposes four solution patterns of the interferences, which are successfully applied to a real case

Abstract:One of the key technologies for distributed integrated manufacturing systems is to realize automatic transmission and conversion of product data among distributed and heterogeneous systems like CAD, CAPP, CAM, CAE, etc. This paper presents an Internet-based framework of product data exchange and the architecture of the framework, which uses Internet/CORBA as the communication platform and XML as product data exchange language. This framework within which, conversion of other data formats to XML format is implemented by software agents, supports exchange of structured and non-structured product data.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of transferring data and distributed statistics and analysis on information of finance in remote multi-nodes and implement monitoring the whole businesses process by the finance center and collaborations of many financial depart- ments effectively, after analyzing the architecture and properties and theory of distributed computing of EJB, a network architecture of star model is built and network nodes are established by EJB components. Different sub-nodes run module units that are in accordance with their own financial businesses and so their dependencies on the central node are weakened and their abilities of cooperative work and power of distributed computing and robustnessof network are enhanced. All of node modules are compatible with old accounting software and they are extensible. The flat transaction control model of EJB components is improved and thus resource consumption is reduced.
