Abstract:To improve the utilization rate of donor cows and accelerate industrialization of the embryo transplantation, the present research systematically studied the influence of superovulation protocol, age and different estrus stage of heifers, repeated superovulaion times, interval times on superovulation, ovarian status, parity, postpartum intervals on superovulation of dairy cows on superovulation results. 1 127 donor cows were superovulated .The total number of recovered embryos were 10 900 ,available embryos 6 942,average number of available embryos 6.73 per cow per time for successful superovulation. Three protocols including PSO1, PSO2, PSO3 were applied in this experiment. PSO3 protocol had higher the success rates of superovulation and average number of usable embryos than others. ②The best result of superovulation was obtained in cows when initial injection of FSH directly without pre-treatment on day 9 to 11 of spontaneous estrus. ③The age of the first time for superovulation of heifers should be restricted and the optimal age of superovulation should be above the 15 months old. ④The continuous repeated superovulation to donor cows should be less than 3 times because the proportion of available embryos decreased evidently after treatment over 4 times. ⑤The interval between two superovulations should be 50 to 60 days. ⑥In multiparous cows, 1 to 3 parities were optimal to superovulation and it was not suitable for cows more than 7 parities. ⑦The interval between parturition and superovulation should be 80 to 90 days.
