Abstract:It was proved by Vinogradov that every sufficiently large odd integer can be written as the sum of three primes. We show that this remains the case when the primes so utilized are restricted to an explicit thin set. One may take, for example, the «Piatetski-Shapiro primes» p = [n 1/γ ] with any γ>20/21. Abstract:Let $\pi(x;\gamma_1,\gamma_2)$ denote the number of primes $p$ with $p\leqslant x$ and $p=\lfloor n^{1/\gamma_1}_1\rfloor=\lfloor n^{1/\gamma_2}_2\rfloor$, where $\lfloor t\rfloor$ denotes the integer part of $t\in\mathbb{R}$ and $1/2<\gamma_2<\gamma_1<1$ are fixed constants. In this paper, we show that $\pi(x;\gamma_1,\gamma_2)$ holds an asymptotic formula for $21/11<\gamma_1+\gamma_2<2$, which constitutes an improvement upon the previous result of Baker [1].

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that for any fixed $205/243<\gamma\leqslant1$, every sufficiently large $N$ satisfying $N\equiv 5 \pmod {24}$ can be represented as five squares of primes with one prime in $\mathcal{P}_\gamma$, which improves the previous result of Zhang and Zhai.

Abstract:We prove that, for any $c_1,c_2,c_3\in(1,41/35)$, every sufficiently large odd number $N$ can be represented as the sum of three primes $N = p_1 + p_2 +p_3$ such that $p_i = \lfloor n_{i}^{c_i}\rfloor$ for some $n_i \in{\mathbb N}$ for each $1 \leq i \leq 3$. Our arguments are based on a variant of Green's transference principle due to Matomäki, Maynard and Shao. We prove a necessary restriction estimate using Bourgain's strategy and employ Harman's sieve method to optimize our upper bound for $c_i$.

Abstract:Let p be an odd prime. In this paper, analogs of Wilson?s and Wolstenholme?s theorems on the solution sets S+ = {n ? Z* p | n ? a + b ? ab (mod p)} and S? = {n ? Z* p | n ? a ? b ? ab (mod p)} are given, where Z* p denote a reduced residue system modulo p. We also establish congruences about sum and product of the quadratic residues in S+ or in S? modulo p. Finally, we raise a problem on how to solve Hadamard?s conjecture in the last section.

These results generalize the result of Pan and Ding [37] and constitutes an improvement upon a series of previous results of [29,31,39,47].

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to try to establish a generic model for the problem that several multivariable number-theoretic functions represent simultaneously primes for infinitely many integral points. More concretely, we introduced briefly the research background-the history and current situation-from Euclid's second theorem to Green-Tao theorem. We analyzed some equivalent necessary conditions that irreducible univariable polynomials with integral coefficients represent infinitely many primes, found new necessary conditions which perhaps imply that there are only finitely many Fermat primes, obtained an analogy of the Chinese Remainder Theorem, generalized Euler's function, the prime-counting function and Schinzel-Sierpinski's Conjecture and so on. Nevertheless, this is only a beginning and it miles to go. We hope that number theorists consider further it.
