Abstract:Key technique and implementation method for autogeneration of 2D engineering drawings of gear based on AutoCAD were studied in order to overcome low efficiency in design during changing of gear parts.An automatic gear design system was established by introducing parameterized design and drawing methodology,as well as ObjectARX based secondary development of AutoCAD into the procedure of gear design.The modulus of gear,number of teeth,corresponding sizes of the structure and other design results could be automatically generated by the system according to recorded parameters of design,and two-dimensional engineering drawing could be generated automatically driven by the sizes.A fast and automatic design of gear is realized.
