Abstract:A quinine-promoted, enantioselective Michael addition reaction of diphenyl phosphite with nitroalkenes has been developed. This methodology affords a facile access to enantiomerically enriched beta-nitrophosphates, precursors for the preparation of synthetically and biologically useful beta-amino-phosphonates.
