Abstract:A difficult question arising in the study of effect algebras is how to equip them with a fitting and proper topology such that the topology is compatible with the partial operations ⊕ and Θ. As we know, the Frink ideal topology is an important intrinsic topology for studying partially ordered set theory; in particular, it is the correct topology for chains and direct products of a finite number of chains. In this paper, we show that the Frink ideal topology is also a nice topology for studying effect-algebra theory since it provides the operations with some of the expected continuity properties.

Abstract:The famous Antosik-Mikusinski convergent theorem on the Abel topological groups has very extensive applications in measure theory, summation theory and other analysis fields. In this paper, we establish the theorem on a class of effect algebras equipped with the ideal topology. This paper shows also that the ideal topology of effect algebras is a useful topology in studying the quantum logic theory.

Abstract:Topological structure is introduced on some classic effect algebras, and so the effect algebras become topolo-gical effect algebras. We prove that the direct sum of two topological effect algebras is still topological effect algebra, and the fuzzy system of topological effect algebra is still topological effect algebra. Continious map between topological effect algebras are given, and the continuity of morphisms, monomorphisms and isomorphic are discussed. Finally, it is proved that the set of all continious maps from a topological effect algebra to another is also a topological effect algebra.

Abstract:Let (E,⊥,⊕,0,1) be a lattice effect algebra and τi its interval topology. In this work we show that if the operation ⊕ is continuous with respect to τi, then τi is Hausdorff. In addition, we also show that if (E,⊥,⊕,0,1) is a complete MV-effect algebra and τi is a Hausdorff topology, then the operations ⊕, ⊖, ∨ and ∧ are τi continuous.

Abstract:In this paper, the following results are proved: (1) If E is a complete atomic lattice effect algebra, then E is (o)-continuous iff E is order-topological iff E is totally order-disconnected iff E is algebraic. (2) If E is a complete atomic distributive lattice effect algebra, then its Frink ideal topology τ id is Hausdorff topology and τ id is finer than its order topology τ o , and τ id = τ o iff 1 is finite iff every element of E is finite iff τ id and τ o are both discrete topologies. (3) If E is a complete (o)-continuous lattice effect algebra and the operation ⊕ is order topology τ o continuous, then its order topology τ o is Hausdorff topology. (4) If E is a (o)-continuous complete atomic lattice effect algebra, then ⊕ is order topology continuous.

Abstract:Let λ and μ be sequence spaces and have both the signed-weak gliding hump property, (λ, μ) the algebra of the infinite matrix operators which transform λ into μ. Abstract:The main aim of this paper is to investigate the topologies that constructed by some ideals on residuated lattices and some topologies which induced by lattice ideals and distance functions on involutive residuated lattices. To begin with, we present that prime circle plus-ideals and prime boxed plus-ideals are coincident on MTL-algebras and give some new results about ideals on residuated lattices. In the following, we study an i-topology which is induced by an i-system on a residuated lattice A and get that A equipped with such an i-topology is a topological residuated lattice and give a characterization for such topological involutive residuated lattices. Meanwhile, we give a notion of I-completion of a residuated lattice A with respect to the i-topology induced by an i-system I and characterize the I-completion of A by means of the inverse limit of an inverse system. Finally, we show that the topology that induced by a lattice ideal and a distance function on an involutive residuated lattice is a semitopological residuated lattice and which coincides with some i-topological residuated lattice when the lattice ideal is an ideal of A.
Relative topological principality and the ideal intersection property for groupoid C*-algebras

Abstract:We introduce the notion of relative topological principality for a family $\{H_\alpha\}$ of open subgroupoids of a Hausdorff étale groupoid $G$. The C*-algebras $C^*_r(H_\alpha)$ of the groupoids $H_\alpha$ embed in $ C^*_r(G)$ and we show that if $G$ is topologically principal relative to $\{H_\alpha\}$ then a representation of $C^*_r(G)$ is faithful if and only if its restriction to each of the subalgebras $C^*_r(H_\alpha)$ is faithful. This variant of the ideal intersection property potentially involves several subalgebras, and gives a new method of verifying injectivity of representations of reduced groupoid C*-algebras. As applications we prove a uniqueness theorem for Toeplitz C*-algebras of left cancellative small categories that generalizes a recent result of Laca and Sehnem for Toeplitz algebras of group-embeddable monoids, and we also discuss and compare concrete examples arising from integer arithmetic.

Abstract:In this paper, we first construct a convex structure by ideals of effect algebras. Then we discuss convex properties of morphisms and monomorphisms between effect algebras. Further, we prove that partial binary operations and are separately convexity-preserving for the first position with respect to ideal convex structures when the effect algebra is a lattice effect algebra. A lattice effect algebra equipped with an ideal convex structure is called a semi-ideal convex effect algebra. Finally, we obtain that finite product and quotient of semi-ideal convex effect algebras are also semi-ideal convex effect algebras.
