Abstract:A solid professional knowledge and a strict scientific attitude are the basic guarantee for scientific research.Nowadays,many problems appear in research papers of geotechnical engineering,which affect the paper quality and lead to unreliable results.This phenomenon has great influence.It not only wasted research resources but also led up to a false,impetuous research culture.The author analyzed widespread problems from the aspects of theoretical research,experimental research and numerical analysis,and verified them by examples,which provided full understanding about these problems to students and supervisors.Furthermore,supervisors need to be stricter in instructions to improve the quality of the graduate papers.

Abstract:As we all know that many graduate students need to finish academic writing in English. Research on English academic writing has attracted increasing scholarly attention. However, there are few breakthroughs in the research on postgraduates' English academic writing in China, and few studies have focused on the writing difficulties and solutions of postgraduates of English majors. In this study, we mainly used a questionnaire and interview to explore 19 postgraduates of English major about their perceptions of factors affecting their writing, challenges encountered in the writing process, and coping strategies. Results indicate that: 1) all the postgraduates were clear about the steps and contents of an academic thesis, but more than half of them would write their thesis in Chinese first and then translate it into English; 2) many factors were important for English academic writing, and the most important of which were logic, good ideas, etc. The important factors affecting their writing were inappropriate expressions, the shortage of writing training, vocabulary and sentence form, etc.; 3) Postgraduates encountered many difficulties and challenges in the process of English academic writing, and the literature review and the selection of the topic were considered to be the most difficult parts. To cope with these difficulties, they adopted many solutions, such as reading more literature and imitating published papers.

Abstract:Through analyzing the quality of 17 masters′papers of social medicine and medical service management belonging to our faculty in 2005 with the methods of reading papers,collecting the experts′comments,counting vot- ing paper,discussing with some teachers and students,the author proposed that the main problems of these papers included too extensive scope of themes,relatively simple methods,lack of demonstration and innovation,general conclusions.At last the author suggested some countermeasures to improve the quality of master papers in followed aspects:recruiting excellent students,controlling the selection of themes and studying process,etc.

Abstract:Along with the Chinese higher education popularity time's arrival,the teaching quality of the higher education,especially the teaching quality of the undergraduate education is dropping,there is an obvious point that the duty's evasion of the professors in the undergraduate course teaching and the loss of interactions between teachers and students in undergraduate education.The reason about this matter is one hand that the idea of "emphasizing scientific research while neglecting teaching" in Chinese academic circle and the different appraisal system and benefit guidance in teaching and scientific research.On the other hand,the reason is due to the shortage of the teachers in Chinese higher education and the lower level of the incumbent teachers.To solve this problem,we must remold the central position of university's teaching function,strengthen using the modern communication methods,the most important is strengthening the guidance and the consummation in the mechanism.

Abstract:It is very important and helpful for us to study and master the genetic engineering,which is based on the molecular biology,is one of the most important biotic technologies.While for the rapid development of the genetic engineering technology,the modern teaching system can not catch up with the degree of the genetic engineering technology develop ment,so some actions to deal with the problem appeared should be taken,for example: the fund is not enough,the knowledge framework and the contents are too old,which need to be updated.Besides,the aim of the education has not been reached,because the students study passively,not actively.Aiming at these problems,some measures are proposed that could help to improve the teaching of this course such as increasing the funds,encouraging students to engage in the experiment etc.The series of measures for improve the teaching and the cultivation of the students should be improved.

Abstract:This study investigates the current situation of graduation thesis writing among undergraduates of Chinese Teaching as a Foreign language major in five universities in Vietnam from four aspects: the factors influencing whether students choose to write graduation thesis, the topic selection and form of graduation thesis, the difficulties in writing graduation thesis and the examination and evaluation process of graduation thesis. The study found that the lack of curriculum in Vietnamese universities resulted in the lack of essay writing skills and awareness of students. The number of students who choose to write graduation thesis every year is small, the quality of the thesis is low, and the degree of dependence on the Advisor is high. graduation thesis is mainly in the form of monographic research and investigation report, and there are few papers in the form of teaching experiment, teaching design and case analysis. The thesis topic is lack of innovation, and the major development trend is not updated in time. There is no effective way for students to find references, and the regulations and review process of graduation thesis are not rigorous enough. This study thinks that in order to improve these problems and improve the quality of students' graduation thesis, it should be reformed from top to bottom :(1) Adjust the curriculum and strengthen the training of thesis writing skills; (2) Appropriate attention should be paid to the graduation thesis, which is stipulated as a necessary condition for students to obtain the degree certificate, and the requirements of the thesis should be standardized; (3) Establish data database as soon as possible to provide convenience for students to find references and school papers.

Abstract:It is of great significance to enhance the academic innovation ability of college students to promote the in-depth development of higher education. A questionnaire survey was conducted around the degree of emphasis on graduation thesis by students and universities, the source of topics, and the embodiment of their own academic ability. Students have weak awareness of discovery, lack of innovative thinking, topic selection divorced from reality, and lack of communication and discussion with tutors and students in the process of writing a graduation thesis. It is suggested to cultivate students' innovative thinking, improve their "quality awareness" of graduation thesis, build a scientific research training platform, train students' academic writing ability through multiple channels, and enhance their academic innovation ability in collaboration to ensure the quality of graduation thesis.

Abstract:Views on the current curriculum system among the graduate students and teachers are helpful for finding its deficiency and providing basis for improving its quality.3227 graduates and 421 teachers in 21colleges and universities were questionnaired and the results are analysized,and the views were compared among the graduates and teachers.The following deficiencies are found in the research:the curriculum system perform worse in cultivating the practical working ability and innovation ability;the course content is lack of intercrossing,comprehensiveness and practical applicability;the hours of required courses are fewer,and elective courses are more;the teaching method is till teacher priority.The teacher' s evaluation of the curriculum system is better than the graduates.

Abstract:Based on the six"985"higher-learning institutions as research objects,and 159 doctoral student enrollment guides from the six"985"higher-learning institutions in 2017 as research samples,the author establishes such observation indexes as those for application conditions,evaluation mode,evaluation criteria,decision power of supervisor,and supervision mechanism.Through the study,the author finds that in terms of application preconditions,the priority is given to English proficiency and scientific research results,but unfortunately,it is suspicious that university origin discrimination exists;in terms of examination methods,written test is still in use,yet it is still difficult to evaluate a candidate's ability in oral examination or an interview;the stipulations of evaluation criteria and scoring methods are vague,making the evaluation more subjective and arbitrary;the supervisor's personal decision making power in student admission is too big,which brings risk to a selection of justice and fair;the supervision mechanism lacks detailed and comprehensive regulations that may leave room for the abuse of enrollment power.Therefore,the author proposes to abolish the restrictions on university origin and change the rigid conditions into elastic conditions;to combine various assessment methods together and evaluate candidate quality in all directions;to make the evaluation standard index-like and reduce the subjective arbitrariness in evaluation;rationally allocate the decision making power to supervisors and follow the principle of score-based admission;and to improve supervision and safeguard mechanisms,improve other improvement measures such as supporting system and quality-insurance mechanism.
