Exploration on university information architecture

Abstract:Currently,the information construction of university enters the stage of constructing university-level unified information system based on top design.At this stage,it is essential to set up an appropriate theoretical model for the information construction of university.By studying the theory of the enterprise architecture and summarizing the experience of the information construction of Tsinghua University,a theoretical model called university architecture(UA) is proposed for the university-level information system construction at the stage of information integration.The university architecture consists of the following three parts: business architecture,information systems architecture and technology architecture,and could provide unified planning for the overall process of information system development.
