Abstract:On a Fano manifold, we prove that the Kahler-Ricci flow starting from a Kahler metric in the anti-canonical class which is sufficiently close to a Kahler-Einstein metric must converge in a polynomial rate to a Kahler-Einstein metric. The convergence can not happen in general if we study the flow on the level of Kahler potentials. Instead we exploit the interpretation of the Ricci flow as the gradient flow of Perelman's \mu functional. This involves modifying the Ricci flow by a canonical family of gauges. In particular, the complex structure of the limit could be different in general. The main technical ingredient is a Lojasiewicz type inequality for Perelman's \mu functional near a critical point.

Abstract:We prove the existence of Kahler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the recent compactness result on Kahler-Ricci flows. The key ingredient is an algebro-geometric description of the asymptotic behavior of Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. This is in turn based on a general finite dimensional discussion, which is interesting in its own and could potentially apply to other problems. As one application, we relate the asymptotics of the Calabi flow on a polarized Kahler manifold to K-stability assuming bounds on geometry.

Abstract:This is the continuation of our earlier article [10]. For any Kähler-Einstein surfaces with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature, then we have proved (see [10]) that the Kähler-Ricci flow converges exponentially to a unique Kähler-Einstein metric in the end. This partially answers a long-standing problem in Ricci flow: On a compact Kähler-Einstein manifold, does the Kähler-Ricci flow converge to a Kähler-Einstein metric if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature? In this article we give a complete affirmative answer to this problem

Abstract:In the present article, we prove a stability theorem for the Kaehler Ricci flow near the infimum of the functional E1 under the assumption that the initial metric has Ricci >−1 and ⋎Riem÷ bounded. At present stage, our main theorem still need a topological assumption (1.2) which we hope to be removed in subsequent articles. The underlying moral is: If a Kaehler metric is sufficiently closed to a Kaehler Einstein metric, then the Kaehler Ricci flow converges to it. The present work should be viewed as a first step in a more ambitious program of deriving the existence of Kaehler Einstein metrics with an arbitrary energy level, provided that this energy functional has a uniform lower bound in this kaehler class.

Abstract: In our previous paper math.DG/0010008, we develop some new techniques in attacking the convergence problems for the K\"ahler Ricci flow. The one of main ideas is to find a set of new functionals on curvature tensors such that the Ricci flow is the gradient like flow of these functionals. We successfully find such functionals in case of Kaehler manifolds. On K\"ahler-Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature, we prove that these functionals have a uniform lower bound, via the effective use of Tian's inequality. Consequently, we prove the following theorem: Let $M$ be a K\"ahler-Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature. If the initial metric has nonnegative bisectional curvature and positive at least at one point, then the K\"ahler Ricci flow will converge exponentially fast to a K\"ahler-Einstein metric with constant bisectional curvature. Such a result holds for K\"ahler-Einstein orbifolds.

Abstract:. In this paper, we prove that if M is a Kähler-Einstein surface with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has nonnegative sectional curvature, and the curvature is positive somewhere, then the Kähler-Ricci flow converges to a Kähler-Einstein metric with constant bisectional curvature. In a subsequent paper [7], we prove the same result for general Kähler-Einstein manifolds in all dimension. This gives an affirmative answer to a long standing problem in Kähler Ricci flow: On a compact Kähler-Einstein manifold, does the Kähler-Ricci flow converge to a Kähler-Einstein metric if the initial metric has a positive bisectional curvature? Our main method is to find a set of new functionals which are essentially decreasing under the Kähler Ricci flow while they have uniform lower bounds. This property gives the crucial estimate we need to tackle this problem.

Abstract:We establish the existence of the Kahler-Ricci flow on pseudoconvex domains with general initial metrics without curvature bounds. We could show that the evolving metric is simultaneously complete, and the corresponding normalized Kahler-Ricci flow converges to the complete Kahler-Einstein metric, which generalizes Topping's simultaneously complete Ricci flow on surfaces to high dimensional case.

Abstract: We study some estimates along the Kahler Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. Using these estimates, we show the convergence of Kahler Ricci flow directly if the $\alpha$-invariant of the canonical class is greater than $\frac{n}{n+1}$. Applying these convergence theorems, we can give a flow proof of Calabi conjecture on such Fano manifolds. In particular, the existence of Kahler Einstein metrics on a lot of Fano surfaces can be proved by flow method. Note that this geometric conclusion (based on the same assumption) was established earlier via elliptic method by G. Tian. However, a new proof based on Kahler Ricci flow should be still interesting in its own right.

Abstract:We show the convergence of Kähler Ricci flow directly if the α -invariant of the canonical class is greater than n/n+1 . Applying these convergence theorems, we can give a Kähler Ricci flow proof of Calabi conjecture on such Fano manifolds. In particular, the existence of KE metrics on a lot of Fano surfaces can be proved by flow method. Note that this geometric conclusion (based on the same assumption) was established earlier via elliptic method by Tian (Invent. Math. 89(2):225–246, 1987 ; Invent. Math. 101(1):101–172, 1990 ; Invent. Math. 130:1–39, 1997 ). However, a new proof based on Kähler Ricci flow should be still interesting in its own right.

Abstract: In this paper, we construct a set of new functionals of Ricci curvature on any Kaehler manifolds which are invariant under holomorphic transfermations in Kaehler Einstein manifolds and essentially decreasing under the Kaehler Ricci flow. Moreover, if the initial metric has non-negative bisectional curvature, using Tian's inequality, we can prove that each of the functionals has uniform lower bound along the flow which gives a set of integral estimates on curvature. Using this set of integral estimates, we are able to show the following theorem: Let M be a Kaehler-Einstein surface with positive scalar curvature. If the initial metric has nonnegative sectional curvature and positive somewhere, then the Kaehler-Ricci flow converges exponentially fast to a Kaehler-Einstein metric with constant bisectional curvature.

Abstract:We study the Kähler-Ricci flow on compact Kähler manifolds whose canonical bundle is big. We show that the normalized Kähler-Ricci flow has long time existence in the viscosity sense, is continuous in a Zariski open set, and converges to the unique singular Kähler-Einstein metric in the canonical class. The key ingredient is a viscosity theory for degenerate complex Monge-Ampère flows in big classes that we develop, extending and refining the approach of Eyssidieux-Guedj-Zeriahi.

Abstract:In this short note, we announce a regularity theorem for the Kahler-Ricci flow on a compact Fano manifold (Kahler manifold with positive first Chern class) and its application to the limiting behavior of the Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano 3-manifolds. Moreover, we also present a partial C-0 estimate of the Kahler-Ricci flow under the regularity assumption, which extends previous works on Kahler-Einstein metrics and shrinking Kahler-Ricci solitons. Abstract:The existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics on a compact Kähler manifold hasbeen the subject of intensive study over the last few decades, following Yau'ssolution to Calabi's conjecture. The Ricci flow, introduced by Richard Hamiltonhas become one of the most powerful tools in geometric analysis. We study the Kähler-Ricci flow on minimal surfaces of Kodaira dimension oneand show that the flow collapses and converges to a unique canonical metric onits canonical model. Such a canonical is a generalized Kähler-Einsteinmetric. Combining the results of Cao, Tsuji, Tian and Zhang, we give a metricclassification for Käher surfaces with a numerical effective canonical linebundle by the Kähler-Ricci flow. In general, we propose a program of findingcanonical metrics on canonical models of projective varieties of positiveKodaira dimension.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the asymptotic behaviors of finite energy solutions to the Landau–Lifshitz flows from $\mathbb {R}^2$ into Kähler manifolds. First, we prove that the solution with initial data below the critical energy converges to a constant map in the energy space as $t\rightarrow \infty $ for the compact Riemannian surface targets. In particular, when the target is a two dimensional sphere, we prove that the solution to the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation with initial data having an energy below $4\pi $ converges to some constant map in the energy space. The proof bases on the method of induction on energy and geometric renormalizations. Second, for general compact Kähler manifolds and initial data of an arbitrary finite energy, we obtain a bubbling theorem analogous to the Struwe’s results on the heat flows.

Abstract:We prove that constant scalar curvature K\"ahler metric "adjacent" to a fixed K\"ahler class is unique up to isomorphism. This extends the uniqueness theorem of Donaldson and Chen-Tian, and formally fits into the infinite dimensional G.I.T picture described by Donaldson. We prove that the Calabi flow near a cscK metric exists globally and converges uniformly to a cscK metric in a polynomial rate. Viewed in a K\"ahler class, the Calabi flow is also shown to be asymptotic to a smooth geodesic ray at infinity. This latter fact is also interesting in the finite dimensional analogue, where we show that the downward gradient flow of the Kempf-Ness function in a semi-stable orbit is asymptotic to the direction of optimal degeneration.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the uniformly strong convergence of the Kähler-Ricci flow on a Fano manifold with varied initial metrics and smoothly deformed complex structures. As an application, we prove the uniqueness of Kähler-Ricci solitons in the sense of diffeomorphism orbits. The result generalizes Tian-Zhu's theorem for the uniqueness of of Kähler-Ricci solitons on a compact complex manifold, and it is also a generalization of Chen-Sun's result of the uniqueness of Kähler-Einstein metric orbits.
