Important Roles played by Agriculture Insurance in Harmonious Society Build-up

Abstract:The essence of agriculture insurance development is to help peasants get insurance benefith including compensa- tion benefits and expected benefits.Such benefits,whose amount does not satisfy peasants’needs thongh,have positive ex- ternal efiect on agriculture.Incomplete development of agrcalture insurance will have negative impact on harmonious society build-up.Therefore,we shall step up the development of agriculture insurance to give full play to its role in harmonious soci- ety construction.For one thing,the govemment shall"make up for"the benefits spread of those peasants covered by agricul- ture insurance to increase their insurance awareness.For another,insurance companies shall provide more agriculture insur- ance to peasants to protect their insurance interests substantively.From peasants’perspective,they shall enhance their in- surance awareness to develop professional agriculture Cooperatives and set up insurance cooperatives so as to decerease insur- ance costs and ohtain more insurance henefits.
