Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristic and actual operation effects of admission and discharge procedure information management in nurse station,and analyze admission and discharge procedure information management impacted on doctor-patient relationship.Methods The comparison were conducted before and after the utilization of admission and discharge procedure information management from April to October 2014 in changing the number of people using information management,satisfaction comparison of using information management, quantization reacting the impacts of information management on doctor-patient relationship.Results After the implementation of information management,the satisfactions of patients were 96.5%,93.6%,98.2%,97.8% for admission procedure,service attitude,payment method,acquirement of medical information,which all were higher than that of the control group (P <0.05 ).After information management,the rates of admission and discharge via the process of information management were 84.21% and 83,41%.Conclusions The admission and discharge information management of the nurses′station simplified the procedure of patient′s admission and discharge,so as to improve the patient′s satisfaction of hospitalization.

Abstract:The archives management and transmission of medical images which are the key technologies of PACS are studied.Based on the DICOM standard,a three-tier medical image database system is builded.The system realized effective query,on-line display and long-range transmission of medical images with FTP transport protocols.The research work offered a technical support for telemedicine and had certain value on the constructing of modern digital hospital.

Abstract:The idea behind hospital information systems is to make all of a patient's medical reports, lab results, and images electronically available to clinicians, instantaneously, wherever they are, But the higgledy-piggledy evolution of most hospital computer systems makes it hard to integrate all these clinical records. Although several integration standards had been proposed to meet this challenge, none of them is fit for hospitals in China. This paper introduces our work of implementing a three-tiered architecture enterprise viewer in Huzhou Central Hospital to integrate all existing medical information systems using limited resource.

Abstract:ObjectiveTo improve the way of emergency triage management and efficiency.MethodsA task group,which includes people from computer center and emergency department,developed emergency triage management process software from March 2001 to August 2003.The functions,such as import of triage information,inquire system,retrieval system,information collection system,data and graph system,graph analysis of trend and result statistics,realized the digital intelligentize of management.ResultsIn 2 years,this software had managed 200 emergency patients' information.The correct rate of emergency triage had increased from 92.1% to 97.8%,P0.05.The comparison between the import by hand and by computer is P0.01.ConclusionThe application of this software makes management of emergency triage more systematism and improves triage efficiency.

Abstract:Development of automated medical information systems requires knowledge about the utilization of the system; both for design and as feedback during the development process. One of the significant advantages of computer systems is that they can provide an automatic log of system utilization. This paper reports the first study of utilization data collected automatically in an integrated image environment. System monitoring indicates that images are routinely used in clinical care and clinical conferences. Selected images are shown repeatedly for teaching, demonstration, and reference at locations throughout the hospital. Images are viewed both by the collecting service when producing procedure reports and consultations, as well as by the treating physicians from other hospital services. Medical departments have developed image collection policies to meet their internal needs and the needs of treating physicians.

Abstract:Many large hospital had the problems that patients had big difficulty to see a doctor.Especially,in apex time there were a lot of people to line up for registration.In additon,some patients didn’t understand division information and visit procedure.Therefore,the phenomenon that patients registe-red false department and then withdraw the registration was common.Such condition decreased work efficiency and wasted resources of hospital.To solve the problem,to utilize information based technique platform to optimize and in tegrate clinic service system.The registration information display system and counseling service system can provide patients a shortcut and promote the patient’s convenience and reduce time of waiting.

Abstract:Purpose Introducing workflow management technology in healthcare seems to be prospective in dealing with the problem that the current healthcare Information Systems cannot provide sufficient support for the process management, although several challenges still exist. The purpose of this paper is to study the method of developing workflow-based information system in radiology department as a use case.Method First, a workflow model of typical radiology process was established. Second, based on the model, the system could be designed and implemented as a group of loosely coupled components. Each component corresponded to one task in the process and could be assembled by the workflow management system. The legacy systems could be taken as special components, which also corresponded to the tasks and were integrated through transferring non-workflow-aware interfaces to the standard ones. Finally, a workflow dashboard was designed and implemented to provide an integral view of radiology processes.Result The workflow-based Radiology Information System was deployed in the radiology department of Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Hospital in China. The results showed that it could be adjusted flexibly in response to the needs of changing process, and enhance the process management in the department. It can also provide a more workflow-aware integration method, comparing with other methods such as IHE-based ones.Conclusion The workflow-based approach is a new method of developing radiology information system with more flexibility, more functionalities of process management and more workflow-aware integration. The work of this paper is an initial endeavor for introducing workflow management technology in healthcare.

Abstract:Objective To improve the levels of hospital management in radiological diagnosis and radiotherapy area.Methods The application of project management thinking and SWOT analysis were applied before the start of the project.Setting management goals,developing a precise project plan,strengthening the construction of the system and communication platform,and making full use of Comprehensive appraisal of clinical department,all the measures were helpful to enhance the compliance of employees together with good service.Results The rate of radiation workers management and radiation workplace and equipment management index reached almost 100％ from a low level.Conclusion Using project management thinking to construct the radiological diagnosis and radiotherapy management system was crucial to promote management level.

Abstract:Objective To analyze community medical staff's' opinion on merits and shortcomings of hospital information management and needs for it application.Methods The series of quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaire survey,focus group discussion and in-depth interview were conducted among 103 community medical staff members of a tertiary hospital's community clinic department in Beijing.The investigating contents were their recognition and attitude of information management,and their views and suggestions of clinic doctor working station now popularly utilized by the hospital.Results Totally,the community medical staff had a welcoming and accepting attitude on the hospital information management;However,the facility and stability of the system itself,accessibility of information,the medical staff's attitude on the information management,their proficiency level in computer operation and usage coast,and the hospital's efforts were all the factors to utilization of clinical doctor working station.Conclusion It should be active to take actions in optimization of software system and hardware equipments,staff training,reinforcement of medical affaires and logistic management.The introduction and development of hospital information management software should be demand-oriented,and involve relevant personnel all long.

Abstract:A microcomputer system has been developed and installed at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology to monitor the moment-to-moment activity in a radiology department. Data about department performances are collected, summarized, and displayed in graphs and tables on terminals at stations throughout the department. The system is currently used to monitor a wide variety of functions including patient waiting time, report production time, film-library operations, equipment maintenance, and room use. Since the displays are updated in real-time, it is possible to identify and address problems as they occur, thereby providing a method of evaluation that leads to improved performance as related to patient care.

Abstract:The emergency department (ED) should reliably provide the required medical treatment to patients who are in an emergency or are critically ill. However, the ED faced two challenges in China. There were no limitations to the medical resources that could be accessed by ED patients, and health care providers could not deny patients. Thus, the ED was overcrowded, making it difficult to distinguish critically ill patients from those requiring non-emergency treatment.

Abstract:Medical images have become increasingly important in clinical practice and medical research, and the need to manage images at the hospital level has become urgent in China. To unify patient identification in examinations from different medical specialties, increase convenient access to medical images under authentication, and make medical images suitable for further artificial intelligence investigations, we implemented an enterprise imaging strategy by adopting an image integration platform as the main tool at Xuanwu Hospital. Workflow re-engineering and business system transformation was also performed to ensure the quality and content of the imaging data. More than 54 million medical images and approximately 1 million medical reports were integrated, and uniform patient identification, images, and report integration were made available to the medical staff and were accessible via a mobile application, which were achieved by implementing the enterprise imaging strategy. However, to integrate all medical images of different specialties at a hospital and ensure that the images and reports are qualified for data mining, some further policy and management measures are still needed.
