Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concepts of generalized continuous posets and present topological dualities for them. Moreover, we show that the category of generalized continuous posets and continuous morphisms is dually equivalent to the category of F-spaces and F-morphisms. In particular, some special cases are obtained, such as the topological representations for posets, domains, continuous lattices and join-semilattices.

Abstract:Let n be a positive integer with n >= 2 and [n] :-= {1, 2, ... ,n}. An m-partial injective map of [n] is a pair (A, f) where A is an m-subset of [n] and f : A -> [n] is an injective map. Let P = L boolean OR {1}, where L is the set of all the partial injective maps of [n]. Partially ordered P by ordinary or reverse inclusion, two families of finite posets are obtained. This article proves that these posets are atomic lattices, discusses their geometricity, and computes their characteristic polynomials.
The fundamental theorem of finite semidistributive lattices

Abstract:We prove a Fundamental Theorem of Finite Semidistributive Lattices (FTFSDL), modelled on Birkhoff's Fundamental Theorem of Finite Distributive Lattices. Our FTFSDL is of the form "A poset L is a finite semidistributive lattice if and only if there exists a set Sha with some additional structure, such that L is isomorphic to the admissible subsets of Sha ordered by inclusion; in this case, Sha and its additional structure are uniquely determined by L." The additional structure on Sha is a combinatorial abstraction of the notion of torsion pairs from representation theory and has geometric meaning in the case of posets of regions of hyperplane arrangements. We show how the FTFSDL clarifies many constructions in lattice theory, such as canonical join representations and passing to quotients, and how the semidistributive property interacts with other major classes of lattices. Many of our results also apply to infinite lattices.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the characterizations of pomonoids over which all S-posets are principally weakly flat. It is shown that all S-posets are principally weakly flat if and only if S is a regular pomonoid. This result gives an answer to the problem of Bulman-Fleming, S., D. Gutermuth, A. Gilmour, and M. Kilp, Flatness properties of S-posets, Communications in Algebra 34 (2006), 1291-1317.

Abstract:A mixed lattice is a lattice-type structure consisting of a set with two partial orderings, and generalizing the notion of a lattice. Mixed lattice theory has previously been studied in various algebraic structures, such as groups and semigroups, while the more general notion of a mixed lattice remains unexplored. In this paper, we study the fundamental properties of mixed lattices and the relationships between the various properties, such as the one-sided associative, distributive and modular laws. We also give an alternative definition of mixed lattices and mixed lattice groups as non-commutative and non-associative algebras satisfying a certain set of postulates. The algebraic and the order-theoretic definitions are then shown to be equivalent.

The chain algebra of a pure poset

Abstract:We extend the chain algebra, originally defined in \cite{GN} for finite distributive lattices to that of finite pure posets. We show this algebra corresponds to the Ehrhart ring of a (0,1)-polytope, termed the chain polytope, and characterize the indecomposability of this polytope. Furthermore, we prove the normality of the chain algebra, describe its canonical module, and extend one of main results from \cite{GN} by computing its Krull dimension. For width-2 pure posets, we determine the algebra's regularity and conditions for it to be Gorenstein or nearly Gorenstein.

Abstract:. In this paper, we consider the complete lattice Q ( L ) of all quotients of a completely distributive lattice L . We show that Q ( L ) is not a completely distributive lattice even for L a completely distributive algebraic lattice. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for Q ( L ) to be a completely distributive lattice are given.

Abstract:Stanley introduced and studied two lattice polytopes, the order polytope and chain polytope, associated to a finite poset. Recently Ohsugi and Tsuchiya introduce an enriched version of them, called the enriched order polytope and enriched chain polytope. In this paper, we give a piecewise-linear bijection between these enriched poset polytopes, which is an enriched analogue of Stanley's transfer map and bijectively proves that they have the same Ehrhart polynomials. Also we construct explicitly unimodular triangulations of two enriched poset polytopes.

Abstract:Deletion and contraction operations on lattices enriched with a generating set were introduced by the author in [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2112.04600" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2112.04600">arXiv:2112.04600</a>]; and from these a notion of minors. When applied to the lattice of flats of a graph, these correspond to the same operations applied to the graph when the vertices are labeled and the edges unlabeled, followed by simplifying the resultant graph. We introduce a partial ordering of the minors of a given generator enriched lattice which we call the minor poset. We show that the minor poset of any generator enriched lattice is isomorphic to the face poset of a regular CW sphere, and in particular, is Eulerian. Furthermore, inequalities for the coefficients of cd-indices of minor posets are established. We also give a forbidden minor characterization of the generator enriched lattices whose minor poset is itself a lattice. Minor posets admit a decomposition into a disjoint union of Boolean algebras. We use this decomposition to derive formulas for the rank generating function of minor posets associated to geometric lattices with generating set consisting of the join irreducibles, and for minor posets associated to a class generalizing distributive lattices.

Abstract:<p>Our main goal is to develop a representation for finite distributive nearlattices through certain ordered structures. This representation generalizes the well-known representation given by Birkhoff for finite distributive lattices through finite posets. We also study finite distributive nearlattices through the concepts of dual atoms, boolean elements, complemented elements and irreducible elements. We prove that the sets of boolean elements and complemented elements form semi-boolean algebras. We show that the set of boolean elements of a finite distributive lattice is a boolean lattice.</p>

On the structure of balanced residuated partially ordered monoids

Abstract:A residuated poset is a structure $\langle A,\le,\cdot,\backslash,/,1 \rangle$ where $\langle A,\le \rangle$ is a poset and $\langle A,\cdot,1 \rangle$ is a monoid such that the residuation law $x\cdot y\le z\iff x\le z/y\iff y\le x\backslash z$ holds. A residuated poset is balanced if it satisfies the identity $x\backslash x \approx x/x$. By generalizing the well-known construction of Plonka sums, we show that a specific class of balanced residuated posets can be decomposed into such a sum indexed by the set of positive idempotent elements. Conversely, given a semilattice directed system of residuated posets equipped with two families of maps (instead of one, as in the usual case), we construct a residuated poset based on the disjoint union of their domains. We apply this approach to provide a structural description of some varieties of residuated lattices and relation algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we solve two problems concerning the ideally conjunctive join-semilattices. First, we show that is ideally conjunctive for all join-semilattices L . Then we characterize those ideally conjunctive join-semilattices L such that is compact for all Moreover, we give the definition of conjunctive posets and prove that the category of ideally conjunctive join-semilattices and join homomorphisms is reflective in the category of conjunctive posets and weakly ideal-continuous maps. As a corollary, we obtain the free ideally conjunctive join-semilattices over conjunctive posets.

Abstract:We develop a simple method of constructing topological spaces from countable posets with finite levels, one which applies to all second countable T_1 compacta. This results in a duality amenable to building such spaces from finite building blocks, essentially an abstract analog of classical constructions defining compacta from progressively finer open covers.

Abstract:Given a symmetric monoidal category $C$ with product $\sqcup$, where the neutral element for the product is an initial object, we consider the poset of $\sqcup$-complemented subobjects of a given object $X$. When this poset has finite height, we define decompositions and partial decompositions of $X$ which are coherent with $\sqcup$, and order them by refinement. From these posets, we define complexes of frames and partial bases, augmented Bergman complexes and related ordered versions. We propose a unified approach to the study of their combinatorics and homotopy type, establishing various properties and relations between them. Via explicit homotopy formulas, we will be able to transfer structural properties, such as Cohen-Macaulayness.

Abstract:We prove a representation theorem for totally ordered idempotent monoids via a nested sum construction. Using this representation theorem we obtain a characterization of the subdirectly irreducible members of the variety of semilinear idempotent distributive l -monoids and a proof that its lattice of subvarieties is countably infinite. For the variety of commutative idempotent distributive l -monoids we give an explicit description of its lattice of subvarieties and show that each of its subvarieties is finitely axiomatized. Finally we give a characterization of which spans of totally ordered idempotent monoids have an amalgam in the class of totally ordered monoids, showing in particular that the class of totally ordered commutative idempotent monoids has the strong amalgamation property and that various classes of distributive l -monoids do not have the amalgamation property. We also show that exactly seven non-trivial finitely generated subvarieties of the variety of semilinear idempotent distributive l -monoids have the amalgamation property; we are able to determine for all but three of its subvarieties whether they have the amalgamation property or not.

Abstract:We call a poset factorable if its characteristic polynomial has all positive integer roots. Inspired by inductive and divisional freeness of a central hyperplane arrangement, we introduce and study the notion of inductive posets and their superclass of divisional posets. It then motivates us to define the so-called inductive and divisional abelian (Lie group) arrangements, whose posets of layers serve as the main examples of our posets. Our first main result is that every divisional poset is factorable. Our second main result shows that the class of inductive posets contains strictly supersolvable posets, the notion recently introduced due to Bibby and Delucchi (2022). This result can be regarded as an extension of a classical result due to Jambu and Terao (1984), which asserts that every supersolvable hyperplane arrangement is inductively free. Our third main result is an application to toric arrangements, which states that the toric arrangement defined by an arbitrary ideal of a root system of type $A$, $B$ or $C$ with respect to the root lattice is inductive.

Abstract:Categories enriched over a commutative unital quantale can be studied as generalized, or many-valued, ordered structures. Because many concepts, such as complete distributivity, in lattice theory can be characterized by existence of certain adjunctions, they can be reformulated in the many-valued setting in terms of categorical postulations. So, it is possible, by aid of categorical machineries, to establish theories of many-valued complete lattices, many-valued completely distributive lattices, and so on. This paper presents a systematical investigation of many-valued complete distributivity, including the topics: (1) subalgebras and quotient algebras of many-valued completely distributive lattices; (2) categories of (left adjoint) functors; and (3) the relationship between many-valued complete distributivity and properties of the quantale of truth values. The results show that enriched category theory is a very useful tool in the study of many-valued versions of order-related mathematical entities.
