Genetic Algorithm and Application in Data Mining

Abstract:Genetic algorithm is a kind of global optimization algorithm which simulate the process of biological evolution,it's a important method to settle modern nonlinear optimization problems.As a kind of global optimization algorithm,genetic algorithm is well-suited for data mining job.On the basis of rationale and characteristics,this paper has made some preliminary study on applying genetic algorithm in data mining.At last,this paper has given a concrete example on applying genetic algorithm in data mining.
