Abstract:This paper shows that for any σ-weakly closed bimodule M of a closed maximal triangular algebra S satisfying MS,the commutant of S module M is M itself.Further- more,the author proves that if MAlgLat S,then H~n(S,AlgLat S)=H~n(S,M)(n≥1); and H~n(S,M)=0 if dim H〧≤1.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concept of weakly reducible maximal triangular algebras which form a large class of maximal triangular algebras. Let (ж)be a wakly closed algebra containing (ж) , we prove that the cohomulogy spaces Hn((y).(ж) ) (n≥1) are trivial.

The monoidal functors on the category of representations of H is studied, and a universal quantum commutative algebra SeR ( M ) and a dual H°-comodule M° for any H-module M with an integral e are constructed. Both constructions given here have tensor isomorphism properties.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss finite rank operators in a closed maximal triangular algebra S {\mathcal {S}} . Based on the following result that each finite rank operator of S {\mathcal {S}} can be written as a finite sum of rank one operators each belonging to S {\mathcal {S}} , we proved that ( S ∩ F ( H ) ) w ∗ = { T ∈ B ( H ) : T N ⊆ N ∼ , ∀ N ∈ N } ({\mathcal {S}}\cap {\mathcal {F(H)}})^{w^{*}}=\{T\in {\mathcal {B(H)}}: TN\subseteq N_{\sim }, \forall N\in \mathcal {N}\} , where N ∼ = N N_{\sim }=N , if d i m N ⊖ N − ≤ 1 dim N\ominus N_{-}\leq 1 ; and N ∼ = N − N_{\sim }=N_{-} , if d i m N ⊖ N − = ∞ dim N\ominus N_{-}=\infty . We also proved that the Erdos Density Theorem holds in S {\mathcal {S}} if and only if S {\mathcal {S}} is strongly reducible.

Abstract:We give an explicit description of a diagonal map on the Bardzell resolution for any monomial algebra, and we use this diagonal map to describe the cup product on Hochschild cohomology. Then, we prove that the cup product is zero in positive degrees for triangular monomial algebras. Our proof uses the graded-commutativity of the cup product on Hochschild cohomology and does not rely on explicit computation of the Hochschild cohomology modules.

Abstract:Let A be an aggregate with a finite spectroid S and B a bimodule over A. If B is upper triangular, it is shown by Brüstle and Hille that the category mat B of matrices over B is equivalent to the Δ-good module category over a quasi-hereditary algebra which is the opposite of the endomorphism algebra of a projective generator in mat B. In the present paper we provide an explicit construction of indecomposable projectives and injectives in mat B by defining left and right radicals of B. In particular, we obtain a description of the characteristic tilting module over the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with B. Moreover, the Ringel dual of this quasi-hereditary algebra is the opposite of the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with a bimodule over A op.

Abstract:Let H be a semisimple Hopf algebra over a field of characteristic 0, and A a finite-dimensional transitive H-module algebra with a 1-dimensional ideal. It is proved that the smash product A#H is isomorphic to a full matrix algebra over some right coideal subalgebra N of H. The correspondence between A and such N and the special case A = k(X) of function algebra on a finite set X are considered.

Abstract:In this work, we study the Hochschild-Mitchell Cohomology of triangular matrix categories. Given a triangular matrix category $\Lambda=\left[ \begin{smallmatrix} \mathcal{T} & 0 \\ M & \mathcal{U} \end{smallmatrix}\right]$, we investigate the relationship of the Hochschild-Mitchell cohomologies $H^{i}(\Lambda)$ and $H^{i}(\mathcal{U})$ of $\Lambda$ and $\mathcal{U}$ respectively; and we show that they can be connected by a long exact sequence. This result extend the well-known result of Michelana-Platzeck given in [S. Michelena, M. I. Platzeck. {\it{Hochschild cohomology of triangular matrix algebras}}. J. Algebra 233, (2000) 502-525].

Abstract:Let ${\rm N}_m(R) = \{ (a_{ij}) \in {\rm M}_m(R) \mid a_{11} = a_{22} = \cdots = a_{mm} \mbox{ and } a_{ij} = 0 \mbox{ for any } i > j \}$ for a commutative ring $R$. Then ${\rm N}_m(R)$ is a quadratic monomial algebra over $R$. We calculate ${\rm HH}^{\ast}({\rm N}_m(R), {\rm M}_m(R)/{\rm N}_m(R))$ as $R$-modules. We also determine the $R$-algebra structure of the Hochschild cohomology ring ${\rm HH}^{\ast}({\rm N}_m(R), {\rm N}_m(R))$. For $m \ge 3$, ${\rm HH}^{\ast}({\rm N}_m(R), {\rm N}_m(R))$ is an infinitely generated algebra over $R$ and has no Batalin-Vilkovisky algebra structure giving the Gerstenhaber bracket.

Cohomological dimension of braided Hopf algebras

Abstract:We show that for a braided Hopf algebra in the category of comodules over a cosemisimple coquasitriangular Hopf algebra, the Hochschild cohomological dimension, the left and right global dimensions and the projective dimensions of the trivial left and right module all coincide. We also provide convenient criteria for smoothness and the twisted Calabi-Yau property for such braided Hopf algebras (without the cosemisimplicity assumption on $H$), in terms of properties of the trivial <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://module.These" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> generalize a well-known result in the case of ordinary Hopf algebras. As an illustration, we study the case of the coordinate algebra on the two-parameter braided quantum group $\textrm{SL}_{2}$.

Abstract:We investigate from an algebraic and topological point of view the minimal prime spectrum of a universal algebra, considering the prime congruences w.r.t. the term condition commutator. Then we use the topological structure of the minimal prime spectrum to study extensions of universal algebras that generalize certain types of ring extensions. Our results hold for semiprime members of semi-degenerate congruence-modular varieties, as well as semiprime algebras whose term condition commutators are commutative and distributive w.r.t. arbitrary joins and satisfy certain conditions on compact congruences, even if those algebras do not generate congruence-modular varieties.

Abstract:Let $\Gamma$ be a discrete group acting on a compact Hausdorff space $X$. Given $x\in X$, and $\mu\in\text{Prob}(X)$, we introduce the notion of contraction of $\mu$ towards $x$ with respect to unitary elements of a group von Neumann algebra not necessarily coming from group elements. Using this notion, we study relative commutants of subalgebras in tracial crossed product von Neumann algebras. The results are applied to negatively curved groups and $\text{SL}(d,\mathbb{Z})$, $d \geq 2$.

Abstract:Recall that a unitary in a tracial von Neumann algebra is Haar if $\tau(u^n)=0$ for all $n\in \mathbb{N}$. We introduce and study a new Borel equivalence relation $\sim_N$ on the set of Haar unitaries in a diffuse tracial von Neumann algebra $N$. Two Haar unitaries $u,v$ in $\mathcal{U}(N)$ are related if there exists a finite path of sequentially commuting Haar unitaries in an ultrapower $N^\mathcal{U}$, beginning at $u$ and ending at $v$. We show that for any diffuse tracial von Neumann algebra $N$, the equivalence relation $\sim_N$ admits either 1 orbit or uncountably many orbits. We characterize property Gamma in terms of path length and number of orbits of $\sim_N$ and also show the existence of non-Gamma II$_1$ factors so that $\sim_N$ admits only 1 orbit. Examples where $\sim_N$ admits uncountably many orbits include $N$ having positive 1-bounded entropy: $h(N)>0$. As a key example, we explicitly describe $\sim_{L(\mathbb{F}_t)}$ for the free group factors. Using these ideas we introduce a numerical invariant for diffuse tracial von Neumann algebras called the commutation diameter, with applications to elementary equivalence classification. We compute lower and upper bounds for the commutation diameter in various examples. Notably we obtain non-trivial lower bounds for the family of arbitrary graph products $N$ of diffuse tracial von Neumann algebras whose underlying graph is connected and has diameter at least 4, and distinguish them up to elementary equivalence from the [CIKE23] exotic factors, despite satisfying $h(N)\leq 0$.

Cohomology of minimal Sullivan algebras of non-finite type and their realizations

Abstract:We prove that the morphisms from a minimal Sullivan algebra $\Lambda V$ to $A_{PL}(|\Lambda V|)$, the algebra of polynomial differential forms on its realization, can be quasi-isomorphic if and only if the cohomology $H(\Lambda V)$ is of finite type. Importantly, $\Lambda V$ itself need not be of finite type. For example, it can be the minimal Sullivan model of the wedge sum of a circle and a sphere. This provides a negative answer to a question posed by Félix, Halperin, and Thomas. Furthermore, we study the spaces whose homotopy groups are reflected by their minimal Sullivan models as a generalization of Sullivan spaces, and explore which properties of Sullivan spaces can be broadened.

Abstract:By classifying $S$-maximal amenable subgroups of algebraic groups over a global field of characteristic zero, we obtain a complete classification of maximal amenable subgroups up to commensurability in the respective arithmetic groups. Futhermore, we prove that these commensurably maximal amenable subgroups are singular and therefore give rise to maximal amenable von Neumann subalgebras.
