Determination of Total Flavonoids in Lotus Leaves with Ultravoilet Spectro Photometry

Abstract:With using rutin as standard,the content of total flavonoids in lotus leaves was determined by UV method.The results were determined as follows.The linear ranges of rutin were 10~50 μg/mL,the regression equation was A=32.357×C-0.006 4,the average recovery rate was 99.5% and RSD was 1.72% for determining total flavonoids from lotus leaves.The analytical method was simple,accurate,reliable and could be used as the quality evaluation of flavonoids for health food of lotus leaves.
