Abstract:Based on the investigation of outdoor landscape plants in general hospitals of Hangzhou,from six aspects such as the plant species,plant frequency applications,ratio of arbor and shrub,ratio of evergreen and deciduous,application of plant color,as well as the lawn areas,explored the landscape plant status of general hospitals in Hangzhou.Moreover,according to the survey data analysis,some suggestions about the future landscape plants design in general hospitals were also discussed.

Landscape Application and Wild Resource Investigation of Evergreen Perennials in Zhejiang Province

Abstract:Evergreen perennials are recommended as excellent materials for landscape use, because of their traditional advantages of perennials and evergreen habit. The application of evergreen perennials would enrich the layers of plant community, as well as improve the species diversity. These advantages could reduce the excessive dependence upon evergreen trees and shrubs in winter landscape. In this paper, the definition of evergreen perennials was proposed firstly. Over 70 species were listed and classified into 4 types. 56 species of wild resource were selected as evergreen perennials in Zhejiang province, and the potentials of utilization for landscaping were also analyzed based on their natural habitat. Concerned about the leave traits in deciduous and evergreen of herbal perennials, evergreen perennials should deserve more attentions by designers. In winter plant landscaping, evergreen perennials could benefit the harmonious natural colors,and thus enrich the styles of planting design.

Abstract:Landscape design for a green community should be favorable for the ambient ecological environment and for enhancement of both the local climate of a residential area and the environmental quality of life. This paper presents optimization methods for plant landscape design that take account of results of comparisons of noise reduction effects, heat island temperature decreases and effects on ventilation. These methods are based on different plant configurations and various luminous environments, such as exterior sunshine and shaded areas after the simulation of exterior luminous, acoustic and thermal environments of a residential area using the analytic software ECOTECT, CADNA/A, and PHEONICS. Three different types of residential buildings are simulated including a faculty apartment in the Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University, the Huaqing Villa and the Gangwan Jiayuan faculty apartment of Zhejiang University, China, based on green building design theory. In addition, the methods and process flow of landscape design of green residential areas are also described for the improvement of the exterior physical living environment.

Abstract:Perennial flowers have been widely applied in landscape for their advantages of abundant varieties, ample colors, wonderful appearance, convenient management and high landscape value. Base on the analysis of research status at home and abroad about perennials, the paper showed different kinds of styles used in landscape, and promoted some strategies development included deepen the concept of perennial flowers on landscape application, using the perennial wild resources, enrich the forms of plant distribution for diverse landscape designs, and enhance the industrialization process. To further enhance the greening and beautification of urban and rural environment level, fully reflect the species diversity and landscape diversity, then achieve healthy and sustainable development of perennial flowers industries.

Abstract:This article is about the planting design project of Zhuji campus of Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University .The plan-ning and design of this project are based on three rules:fulfilling the function ,highlighting the ecological principles and in line with the aesthetics.The project carried out from the perspective of function , space and seasonal changes.On the basis of fulfilling the teaching functions ,the project developed a reasonable layout of the planting space ,builtthe structure of plant communityscientifically and fully highlighted seasonal changes of plants to explorea sustainable ,dynamic,living and cheerful campus planting design mode.

Abstract:With the continuous progress of social civilization, colleges and universities have become more and more concerned about campus landscape construction. Construction of campus environment is good for college students study and life, excellent campus landscape design is not only beneficial for the physical and mental development of students, but also cultivate the students' sentiment. Thus, a good campus landscape design is an important embodiment of campus architecture and culture. Whether the traditional Oriental classic campus landscape design or the modern design that contains the western art culture breath, it is easy to see in each campus landscape construction. In this paper, we will discuss these opportunities and challenges which the campus landscape construction design faced in the progress of being created. The analysis of the need to follow in the process of the construction of campus ecological principles, respectively is a collaborative environment, function and practical, and the principle of adjust measures to local conditions, finally the main content of the construction of university campus landscape were summarized, learned that the university campus ecological landscape construction in university culture and ecology research has important practical significance.

Abstract:As a kind of cultural manifestations,campus landscape is an expression of campus culture.This paper analyzes the planning of landscape structure,functional division,road system,sculpture,vegetation and landscape sketch in campus from the relationship between landscape construction and cultural expression cased with the conceptual planning for the campus of Nanyang Normal University.Some suggestion is given,such as mining and continuity of campus context,multiple participants in landscape construction,and construction of landmark landscapes and special attractions.

Abstract:Winter is the most scenery depression during annual plant landscape. It could be improved depending on exploring suitable winter landscape construction methods, by using the rational allocation of winter ornamental plants. Abstract:On the early February to May in 2012 ,Zhejiang agriculture and Forestry University spring flowering plant species and the change of florescence was investigated by the method of field investigation in spring.The investigation result showed there were about 62 spring flowering plants of leafy 24 after flower first,mosaic with eight species,after the first leaf 30 kinds of flowers picked on campus.On the basis of investigation and research ,from the summary of the three aspects of how to construct spring flowering plant landscape on campus ,including the selection of plant species ,plant combination and plant landscaping forms ,some problems and ad-vices for plant landscape promotion are proposed.This provides reference for similar campus to create spring flowering landscape in the future.

Abstract:Planting design is the art of composing plants to create a campus landscape design. The composition may influence the students’ preferences owned by the criteria of planting. This study aims to identify the planting design criteria towards enhancing visual landscape quality in campus environment. The photograph-based method used to collect the landscape planting images and compose it into a questionnaire. This photo-questionnaire design is mostly practiced by academicians in this research field. The question uses five Likertscale format to analyse the preference rating. The descriptive and correlation analysis are used to quantify the mean results and the relationship between the criteria. The finding represents the most influencing factor in landscape planting preference is arrangement with a score 4.34 while texture is less considered with 3.71 rating score. Most of the attributes were significant except for attributes planting with variety of forms, texture intensity and different species arrangement. As a result, this research finding is able to guide designers to sensibly setting the planting design, particularly in the campus environment.

Abstract:Lingnan region is endowed with varieties of ornamental plants.The selection of plants in Lingnan gardens has a strong connection to the geographic location,natural environment,history and culture,customs,economy and religion belief,forming its unique local style.Based on the survey and analysis of the application of plants in lingnan gardens,the author summarized the characteristics of the plants and proposed some principles and approaches for the plant selection in Lingnan landscaping.

Abstract:Campus landscape is an important environment to shape students' growth in a gradual way. Design research on this subject has increased in China in recent years based on statistics of graduate thesis over the past ten years. In Tsinghua University, students have actively participated in campus landscape design and research both in academic and in practice. For architecture and landscape architecture students, campus landscape is subject for both design studios and final thesis, with undergraduate and graduate students focusing on various aspects. Students in other disciplines, who are the majority on campus, are able to participate in campus landscape transformation through various public participation methods. Through careful plan and linking different resources together, we can have campus landscape serve as an ideal platform to shape students attitude toward professional ethics, to train them with comprehensive design ability, and to teach professional knowledge in a real setting.

Abstract:The winter plant landscape was evaluated with questionnaire and site investigation in winter.The investigation result showed only 11.7% respondents agreed that winter plant arrangement was well done.They believed the current problems were mainly focusing on the few species and numbers of winter-flowering plants,poor color layers,absent open area for a quiet rest and deficient tree species with ornamental trunks and fruits.The application status of winter ornamental plants in Hangzhou were investigated and the results showed there were 42(22 ornamental flowers,10 ornamental fruits,9 ornamental trunks,1 ornamental bud) ornamental species in Hangzhou.Mains problems were deficient in plant species application of new plant resources and local plants.Consequently,increasing different selections of ornamental plants' color and species and create rational resting space,was an effective way to escalate winter plant landscape in Hangzhou's gardens.
