Ten Big Trends of Chinese Lifelong Education Development in the 21st Century

Abstract:The development of lifelong education is the reflection of social development.Lifelong education in China shows ten big trends in the new century:the orientation turns to a higher level;the demands of learning transfer to substantive;the allocations of resource go to decentralization;the styles of organization tend to be flexible,the modules of curriculum orient to individuation;the developmental goals turn to learning to communicate;the activity scope goes to internationalization;the carriers of implementation turn to be virtual;the subjects of practice go to grouping;the implementation style goes to institutionalization.These trends suggest that the development of lifelong education is to turn China into a learning society,while driving the sustainable development is dependent on the innovation of education system and mechanism.
